Simba Coffee Company in Ortonville is a hidden gem! It’s tucked away near Bueches, Hungry Howie’s, and Pet Supplies Plus, so it’s a little hard to spot from the road — but absolutely worth finding. The owner was incredibly friendly, greeting both myself and my son with a big smile and a warm “Good morning.” It was my first time visiting, and when I asked for a recommendation, he took the time to ask about my preferences. I told him I enjoy cold brew with a little sweet foam, so he crafted a caramel macchiato for me (I don’t recall the menu name) — and it was absolutely delicious! Sweet, dessert-like, beautifully presented with a caramel drizzle — exactly what I love. My son had a cinnamon muffin and he devoured it. I've been here twice. The coffee is so good. One of the best cups of coffee I've had in my life. However, the service was terrible. My fiance and I have both been here at different times of day and there were people waiting 20 minutes for an order and people walking in, ordering their coffee and walking out while the guy who's been waiting 20 minutes is still standing there. IMHO they desperately need a system to keep track of orders as they get them and fill them in that order. SECOND, their layout is extremely inefficient, some of the items like the flavor shots are up on these high shelves and they pull them down use them and put them back for every drink. Why not put them on a counter and leave them where they are? That alone would save you 10 seconds per drink, if you make 100 drinks a day that would save you 17 min. And that's just one of many simple changes they could make to streamline...

I stopped into this coffee shop while in the area for work and was blown away. I usually order an Americano, but the owner suggested I try one made with cold brew instead of water. It was incredibly smooth, rich in flavor, and had zero bitter aftertaste. He even added just the right amount of creamer.
