To start I made a phone sale which was very complicated because I had to send pictures of my information through email in order to do so which technically would not help any fraud situations ,just has my information left in their computer. Second front desk girls are rude a lot of the guys in the back are rude and third after spending $3500 indoors and other materials All the doors were missing screws in the threshold at the bottom of the jams , One Frenchdoor unit had missing weatherstripping on the sides the other French door unit Weatherstripping was 2 inches too short on both sides. I called back and that's all they want to offer me this weatherstripping. I live 45 minutes away. I told them it was cheaper to buy a weatherstripping and save my gas and time , he has absolutely had nothing else to offer me. His name was Blake, basically told me I can come get the weatherstripping and waste a half a day or don't come get it ,he wouldn't offer me a discount or nothing for my time that would be wasted because they have kids building doors in the back.They know who I am. I Custom ordered two French door units and a single unit. They can still call me and make it right as of Monday. Read moreHorrible experience. I'm building a house and bought couple things from Hoods and everything was fine until I purchased a cabinet. Got home, got it unboxed and discovered it had light damage and was missing a shelf. Time is of the essence so I decided to mount the cabinet and fix the light damage myself. The following day went back to Hoods in hopes to recover the missing shelf and was a bit surprised when the sales person ( Tony) told me he couldn't replace the shelf and I had to bring the whole cabinet back for swap out. After confirming with him 3 times and explaining to him that the cabinet was mounted on the wall and knob wholes drilled I got the same answer. Went home, got the cabinet down, brought it back. Was met by manager (Christina) and informed she could only give me the missing shelf and couldn't swap out the cabinet. At this point cabinet sustained more minor damages due to reinstall and transportation. To say I was disappointed is huge understatement. I reached out back to salesman who said he would talk to the general manager (Mike Hamric) and get back to me the following day and he did. The answer stood, I could have a shelf but not a cabinet replacement. Unprecedented lack of communication between employees, non-existent customer service ethics. Read moreI was locked in the garden center yesterday. The store closed & all employees raced out of the parking lot. NO ONE checked the garden area nor made any P.A. announcements nor hollered out there that they were closing! My large Cadillac sat right there for all to see as they left. Apparently no one cared to take notice and come back to let me out. They were prob driving too fast to notice. My arms were full of goods that I had intended on purchasing. I was also interested in some pots & a fountain but they were not priced. No one came out to help me the entire time. I said hello to a girl at the desk on my way in. A man came out there 2 or 3 times. I said hello to him twice. I don't know who he was. I believe an employee. I had left my cell in my car charging. What an experience! I was very frightened. I called today to speak with a Mgr about what happened so this does not happen to anyone else. She sounded young...inexperienced. The ONLY thing she said was, "I'm sorry ma'am." Never asked my name...it remained, "ma'am." Why has customer service become virtually non existent? Employee's in MOST establishments act as though we (the customer) are invading their domain.
