5 Star Pawn — Local services in Guntersville

So they had a backpack blower advertised on marketplace picture below to help explain it was a new one in the picture so I text the address got a response saying it was at a location only open normal business hours come to find out a pawn shop so when I arrived they had 2 that looked nothing like the picture (false advertisement) the person I originally texted wasn’t there I dealt with a woman who seemed okay at the time she told me that they have the equipment serviced and make sure it’s working before placing it out for sale so I started the one blower seemed okay the other one looked a little newer and wasn’t missing parts of it so I said I’d like to buy that one she said well let me call my husband and get pricing on that one because the one in the picture was for the one that was missing parts and looked wore out so she came back and said it was more money for the other one like 50 bucks more so I ended up paying 226 dollars for something they advertised for 149 on marketplace. At this point I just wanted to get the blower and go home so I got home tried starting it all day no luck it wouldn’t start I called her back the same day she said I could bring it back and the place they had it serviced at should warranty it so I said I’ll be there in the morning. So I showed back up to the pawn shop with the blower as soon as I walked in the first thing out of her mouth was we don’t give warranty i said well that’s a little shady why would you not warranty something you are selling and me only having it for less then a day she said because they don’t know the history and things like that behind the equipment but she would take it to the repair shop and have them look at it and ask me to write my name and number on a piece of paper she handed to me so as I’m starting to do as she asked I said that it seems a little shady that you sell me something that looks nothing like the picture you advertised for more than what was advertised before I could finish she violently ripped the paper away from me and said get out of her store I said that was fine but better believe I’ll leave a review she said she looked forward to it. Now in my opinion small shops like this should treat their customers with respect no matter what to a point I wasn’t nasty with her in anyway but yet I guess because she new I wasn’t nasty aware she was trying to pull a fast one on me and sell me some junk equipment so she wouldn’t get stuck with it but she still didn’t do right in my eyes and should not have a position dealing with the public if she can’t control her behavior I texted her husband later to find out the business is owned by a husband and a wife so of course he takes her side I shared his text in a picture below my advice don’t do business with this pawn shop you may get lucky and buy something that’s worth what you’re paying but you may not and to treat one person this way means she would treat another person this way they should not be allowed to stay in business if this is how they treat their customers. They ended up keeping the backpack blower and they charged me for the item as well so that just shows another example of how crooked they are they care about themselves and if they can get over on someone. I have noticed other people who make negative comments they always have a answer for the way they treated someone but there’s no excuse for her actions also they blocked me from contacting them as well so I can’t get my money or blower but k will and I hope they get tough a lesson people read these reviews and they lose sells because of how they treated me and it cost them 50x times more than what I lost Update they say I’m a professional scammer well the facts are you are a liar there’s actual proof not just hearsay like you are doing if anyone is trying to scam people it’s clearly the person with no profile picture.As well it’s a flat out lie I only started the first blower not the second I trusted what they woman told me as far as it was looked at by a small engine mechanic. So if you want to actually get money for your stuff don't come here I was offered $400 on 2 items a rb441t which is actually selling on eBay the Lowest in the sold comps was $1000 for one tool the other was $1300 never used. I understand they are there to make money but even after they sold them on ebay and paid there fees they would have cleared $1600to $1700 and then they insult you with a offer for $400 for both one item was brand new the Lowest it sold for was $1329. The day before I sold one of my rb441t in Madison at a pawn shop for $500 so there are pawn shops that will pay you for your stuff just not this one. Today was the first time that I have ever been in the store. And I have to say, it's one of the most organized places I have had the pleasure of visiting. The owner was very pleasant and gave me their card. I was there to pick up a package from wish and it felt like I was at home talking to family.
