Dollar General — Local services in Hagerstown

This place has lost a loyal customer I used to be an everyday shopper here until tonight when I arrived at 9:55 which is 5 minutes until closing time to find the doors were locked I was after medicine for my sick 3-year-old that the gas station did not have. So immediately I called the Dollar general and they answered and I asked them hey it's not 10:00 yet Can I come in and grab one item and be right out and the lady asked some guy who turned out to be the manager and he said no he already locked the doors they were closed so I asked the lady I said why does your sign say 10:00 p.m. close time if you guys are going to close early regardless if it's only 5 minutes. At that point the manager got on the phone with me and started getting rude and said my clock shows 10:00 p.m. we are closed you are not getting in my store(awful funny my call log on my phone shows me calling them several minutes before 10. Supposed to be a local store that a small town community can use out of convenience I just simply asked to run in and grab one item and I could have been out of the store before 10:00 p. m. when they're supposed to close.... There is no customer...

I just went into the store and after halfway through shopping I was told I need to take my purse outside or put it behind the desk on the floor. My purse cost $300 and I do not appreciate it being put on a nasty floor and then when I get in line there's three other ladies behind me that have their purses I would actually like to know what this is all about my first state ZIP the whole time so I don't know if they were trying to say I look like someone who would steal something but needles to say I NEVER WILL COME TO THIS DOLLAR GENERAL!!!!...

It is what it is, convenient stop for what ya need. This DG does not sell beer or wine but there is a liquor store down the road. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, only reason I'm giving them four stars is because their set up is confusing and odd. They have more than 1 snack food aisle but they aren't next to each other, same with dollar snacks. So when looking for something specific, you can't just run to the 1 or 2 side by side aisles...you basically have to navigate thru the...
