Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Haleyville

Absolutely WONDERFUL shopping experience! FRESH DELICIOUS produce! FRESH meat! CLEAN store! FRIENDLY and GREAT, LOW, REASONABLE PRICES! Chuck, the manager, made me feel welcomed from the moment I spoke with him, on the phone, inquiring about parking accommodations for my big rig. I travel across the country and have, in the past, grocery shopped entirely at W_L-Mart. By far, this local store, Piggly Wiggly, has out-surpassed all of the W_L-Marts I have ever been to in all of my 3 years driving semi across the U.S. I NEVER have written a review but felt this review could help others to APPRECIATE and VALUE this EXCEPTIONAL GEM of a grocery store. The QUALITY rises LEVELS ABOVE nearby competitors. There is absolutely no comparison to the many times of finding rotting, poor quality, poor tasting produce in W_L-Mart. Even if, by chance, the prices are higher, the products at Piggly Wiggly are well worth your money because of the high quality alone. Meat prices are phenomenal compared to nearly everything at W_L-Mart being priced at $4.99-$5.99 a pound (and higher) regardless of the cut of meat. Include the quality difference and it's a no-brainer! There is NO tasteless, watered-down, out-ragiously priced meat at Piggly Wiggly. I highly recommend shopping at this FINE store. I like shopping here. I know my meat is fresh, it doesn't come in frozen like at Walmart. If I want a certain size I just ask for it and a butcher will cut it for me. One time I ask for a 8lb. roast beef to make roast beef sandwichs out of. Took them about 4-5 mins. only glad to help. People are always polite and helpful not like Walmart where you can't find some one that's not stocking somewhere else and no chocolate milk in freezer but you can see it back there in the little...

Used to be friendly service and great people. When I said the pricing has greatly increased, the assistant manager told me that "There were other stores to shop at." I spend at min $300 weekly here for the last 15 yr. I'll be going to Goars! We got 2 buggies for the price of one in v/s the Pig. Priceless in Russleville is also a much better option...
