We, among many other residents, have had ongoing issues with mail not being delivered properly. Our mail goes to our neighbors or surrounding houses constantly. We get the wrong mail on a weekly basis and if we put the mail back into the mailbox with the flag up it still doesn't get taken. If you write "return to sender" you get a snarky note saying it's illegal to write on mail. Isn't it illegal to deliver mail to the wrong address constantly with no urgency to fixing the issue? I've called and spoke to the post office a few times and they say it's the robots sorting it, policy is they only look at the first and last piece of mail, as well as they have an allotted time to get the mail out. So they don't look at every piece of mail. I have a security camera showing the mail carrier ignoring the red flag being up and not taking the mail that needs to be sent back and just shoving mail into our mailbox. Something has got to give.
