I took my bike to Don's regarding an idle/stalling issue. The first time they worked on it they said they fixed an air leak and that the bike was running fine for them. I then discovered the same issue was still present and took it back in to them a second time.
The second time I took my motorcycle back to Don's they told me it needed a carburetor rebuild to resolve the issue and that it would be at an additional cost, which I agreed to. The second time I picked the bike up they said it was running fine and the issue had been resolved. I noticed the same idle/stalling issue on my way home from their shop. I did not see any improvement.
I contacted Don's a third time and informed them that the same issue was still occurring. I asked politely for a refund of the services performed as nothing so far has resolved the issue I intended to fix. They declined, but did agree to look at the bike at no charge for the third time.
I would like to note that the third time I dropped my bike off it was approximately a week until I could pick it up. This was after calling at the beginning of the week and them saying it would probably be ready within the next one or two days. After not hearing anything back I called on Friday and was told that I could pick up the bike and test ride it to see how it was performing. They told me the issue seemed to be resolved (no stalling), but the idle was hanging.
Now that I have the bike back after the third visit to Don's it is still stalling, which was apparent after the first light I came to after leaving the shop. In addition to the stalling the idle is hanging extremely high, which was not an issue I had experienced previously. I called and asked for the mechanic who had worked on my bike. He was not available. I was told he would contact me. This was on Friday, but I have not heard back. It's been about two weeks with no contact.
I would not recommend Don's to anyone looking for someone to troubleshoot their motorcycle issues. They recommended multiple courses of action with very little reasoning/logic as to what could possibly be causing my issue. It seems they want you to throw money at the problem until...

I have purchase motorcycles from other dealers and I have never had the level of service that I received today. Erin, the sales person, was very helpful and efficient in processing my purchase. She recommended that I send my info in to her in advance to speed up the process and it helped tremendously...but what really blew me away was the service I received from the owner Don, himself. He personally took the time to not only walk me through my bike but he also personally detailed it before I left. He took the time to clean it thoroughly and ensure that it was all set to go. This in and of itself would have been top level service but he went above and beyond. The weather was bad and it was raining in my area. Right before I left he realized this and offer to have a member of his team load the Motorcycle on a trailer and deliver it to my house with no charge...This quite simply won me over as a customer for life. Everyone who works there is pretty nice an friendly except for the older lady who used to always be in the offices to the left as soon as you walk in. But for some reason she now works in the service an parts department? She is very unpleasant to deal with! She has a bad an negative attitude in person AND over the phone! I don't know if she act's this way with all customers or just me? But I hate to deal with her! I much rather deal with someone else when I go there. She doesn't make you feel welcome at all!
