I will start off saying after my brothers wife took her car here, she was quoted ridiculous prices equaling near 3 grand. They shared the quote with me and I will start off by saying this shop is straight up ridiculous cost wise. I can't speak to the ability of their repairs but either they can't properly diagnose something or they are intentionally just replacing things that don't actually need replaced due to either laziness or greed, unsure which. They were quoted for a few things like a rear brake caliper because it would stick, which this shop quoted $642.76 to replace one caliper and to add a non essential brake flush also. After inspecting I found the caliper didn't need replaced at all, it needed the caliper pins pulled and cleaned and regreased because they were rusty and dried out causing the caliper to hang up and not slide back to original position after releasing the brake pedal. They were also quoted $1460.67 for a a/c compressor replacement due to the compressor clutch being bad which that was actually an accurate diagnosis, but the compressor part retails for roughly $200-$230 and then they also add a $270.50 for a vac and recharge of system(which I get that cost because of the machine but a job that takes 3 hours in a driveway vs half that time in a shop with lifts why the cost is so outlandish for that simple of a repair). Compressor is easy to access and it's held on with 4 bolts, 2 lines and 1 molex connection for the power to feed to clutch when a/c is turned on. They were also told the radiator was leaking when it wasn't(radiator was previously repaired due to an accident. it was plastic welded, then sanded, and then a high temp/pressure 2 part epoxy was added to gain extra durability and heat resistance) the technician must of just didn't like how it looked and figured let's just see if we can sell them something. Radiator replacement cost with refill and burp air $936.47 which is also way off. I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere unless your that naive and love being raked over...
Read moreThere is a reason why Barry Reiff has perfect 5-star reviews for all 38 reviews. Barry is the best mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I've taken my Nissan Maxima, and now my Infiniti G37X to him over the past 3 years.
Not only is Barry a great mechanic, but he's also an excellent businessman. Barry operates with integrity - he's honest, professional, competent, friendly, and polite, and his prices are very fair.
Barry does excellent work. He is great at troubleshooting/diagnosis, he very clearly will state what the problem is, and he will give you an estimate of the cost of parts and labor, and the time it takes to do the work. I have never been disappointed. Barry also is very, very clean. He doesn't get dirt or grime on the car seats, floor mats, doors or steering wheel.
Several weeks ago I called Barry and told him I had a flat tire. He asked me to bring my car in as soon as I could. I took my car in right away, and he repaired the flat tire in 20 minutes while I waited. For scheduled maintenance or repairs, I can typically get an appointment in 2 to 5 days.
Also, Barry has a 2009 Honda Accord EX-L that he offers as a loaner car, if you choose to schedule it. The loaner car is fully loaded with leather interior, is in fantastic condition, and is super clean inside and out. All you have to do is put however much gas you've used upon...

That is 7 positive Checks, and that's what I can recall now. But all that relates to a very positive experience, overall, and I really look forward to my car's next update. Jen also mentioned a few suggested maintenance items to consider next. Transmission flush, Radiator flush. Thanks!! Oh, they adjusted my windshield wipers without garnering credit or charging me for that. Suggested rotation tires (I forgot to ask) The most professional and skilled shop I ever have used.
