I have used Freshwater Farms in the past with great results, but I have to say for whatever reason their customer service and delivery service has gone way downhill. I ordered a nice bouquet for my mother‘s 85th birthday well in advance and got a confirmation email about that, and I even replied that she loves the color purple, which was the reason I selected the bouquet that I did. On the day of her birthday I got an email saying delivery was successful, but my mom who waited at home all day for her surprise delivery never got her flowers. I called several times and was told there was a glitch with their website that they had to say the flowers were delivered even if they weren’t. They said the driver called her and rang the doorbell but she said she never got a call. She had no voicemail and she was literally home all day. I asked if they could make this right in anyway by offering a refund or a partial credit but they did not offer any compensation. They did deliver flowers the next day - photos are shown below that don’t look anything like what I ordered. Before I wrote this review, I called one more time and they said that they would have the Florist call me back the next day, but they didn’t so I rarely write a bad review, but this was a very disappointing experience with a previously much loved local...
Read moreI faithfully gave business to Freshwater Farms as a landscaper for a couple years for all my clients. I really loved their aged hemlock mulch. Great quality. However, after using them for two years with great service, I ordered a batch of mulch and asked if they could give me a call when the delivery went out, as I always did when I ordered. The woman got real snippy and said they do not give call outs anymore for delivery, and I was taken back and said I'd like to hold on the order. The woman said to hold on so she could talk to her manager, then came back to the phone and said "we can make an exception this one time, but you better make sure you pick up the phone when we call you." It was just super rude and condescending. Since this incident, they have not received any of my business. I had given them tens of thousands of dollars worth of business prior to that, but when I am in charge of overseeing many jobs and dealing with my clients, I like to have the option to receive a call when the mulch goes out. If they don't want to do it, fine, but the woman so quickly got fired up about it, explaining that they're done making calls to people because sometimes those people don't pick up... Who cares?! Leave a message and get on with your day and at least learn some decency when talking to the rest of...

When they did finally deliver the bouquet was not what I ordered and looked like it was thrown together. They offered to redeliver and I reluctantly agreed. I asked them to contact me before delivery, that didn’t happen. They ended up delivering on Monday, Columbus Day. My wife is a school teacher and the school wasn’t open. Luckily someone was there to recieve them. The second bouquet of flowers was worse then the first. Yes it was closer to what I ordered but not up to par with what they presented them To look like. I paid $65 for them and they where no where near exceptable. I have included what they where supposed to look like and what She actually recieved.
