After supporting our local House of Pizza I’m so disappointed to give the worst rating for delivery and customer service.We called at 5:15 tonight to order a cheesesteak and a rice bowl with two sides. We were told it would be an hour to an hour and a half which is fine, we understand it’s Friday night. At 7 o’clock we called to get an update and were told it would be another half hour at least would make a total time of two hours and 15 minutes plus which is not what we were expecting. We asked what discount we could get for the delayed time and the woman in the background screamed do they want the “effing” delivery or not? At this point I asked to speak to the manager who asked if I wanted the order or not. I then asked to speak to the owner because the swearing in the background was unacceptable. I was told he was unavailable. They then told me the order was canceled and hung up on me. I called back to speak to the owner and they said if this is “our address“ the owner doesn’t want to speak to you and hung up again. I called back a third time and asked to speak to the owner when he was available and I would give him my name and phone number and we still have not heard from him. We have supported this local restaurant since the pandemic and the treatment that we have received is just mind blowing. I understand about delayed delivery, we understand about a restaurant being overwhelmed with orders, but to have someone swearing into the phone in the background and asking to speak to the owner about that unacceptable behavior to only be hung up upon is appalling. Read moreAtkinson house has been our go to pizza place every Tuesday for the last 15 years (seriously not an exaggeration). Honestly every Tuesday without fail since my children were toddlers and had dance just around the corner. The food has always been consistently good and the service always top notch until recently. I’m not sure if there has been a change in ownership since I haven’t seen the same faces I’ve come to know recently, but in the last few weeks there have been some consistent mistakes to our order. I get it…mistakes happen but when I bring it to their attention my perception is that it isn’t a priority for them. When I called to let them know, I was told I could bring the order back, but after a very long work day and a 1 1/2 hour commute home…I’m tired and I’m just not up to it. I asked if they might be willing to have someone deliver it and was told they have no drivers. All of this was relayed from the manager to the young lady on the phone. The manager didn’t even feel the need to speak with me directly. So needless to say it looks like I will have to cook since we can’t eat the ingredients they put on the pizza we received. Read moreTypically a tasty place for take out. Recently they have done renovations and therefore were not open. Upon reopening, they installed a new register system and this made a simple 3 salad takeout order a disappointing nightmare.
The Chicken finger salad was on a Caesar salad instead of a Greek salad. Incorrect and unappealing.
The roast beef on a Greek salad was sent with the wrong dressing and the requested additional dressing was not sent. Incorrect and would have been appealing with the sauces as ordered.
The person who took the order was apologetic. However the most frustrating part was the Manager. Perhaps the owner , not sure, but for the hundreds of dollars spent last year alone, He chose to acknowledge the arrow, blame it on the new system, and refused to remake the salads. He completely dismissed the 50.00 spent on three salads and chose to not remake two salads correctly to order. Condoning my pledge to take my business elsewhere, rather than keeping a customer and decent tipping family.
