When you or a family member is having a true emergency (presenting as a heart attack, sharp pain in chest, middle back, heavy chest, nausea and vomiting) and you have to wait and buzz the door to be let into the building 10 plus times that is ridiculous. Then the person at the desk takes their sweet time getting us checked in and says, Go have a seat in the waiting area they will be out to get you when they can. At 10 min. I went and asked him what was going on and why no one had come to at least check vitals? He didn't know, maybe they're getting her a room. At 20 min. and still nothing, I push my mom in the wheele chair back out to my car and drove to Billings St. V's ER. Within 1 min. of entering the doors she was taken back to have an EKG and blood drawn for enzyme check... In these types of TRUE Emergencies TIME is of the essence! Obviously Bighorn County Hospital doesn't recognize this fact!!! If I could rate this establishment in the negative I would have. As a Community we need to hold this establishment to a MUCH higher standard of care than we get now! The lives of our loved ones...

If the person answering the calls doesn't know the difference between a Podiatrist and a Dietician then it's concerning. I'll go to the IHS and spend my money there even though this Hospital was 1...
