I see an old review here giving only 1 star and thought I would 'weigh-in'. The reviewer should've left more details about what transpired if he is leaving such a poor rating. Also, it sounds like this is his only experience with Clinton Electronics. My review is based on dealing with them over 7 years. First thing, this company provides equipment to only verified professional and established companies - there are many reasons for this, the biggest of all is that they do not want to be compared to the cheap quality products you see all over the internet and big-box stores. In short, professional equipment is much better AND more expensive. It takes professional companies to demonstrate that, in person, to potential clients.
But specific to the prior 1 star rating, I give Clinton Electronics 5 solid stars without reservation. I have purchased nearly $100,000.00 of equipment over the years, and a reasonable amount had to be returned from time-to-time. This speaks directly of their extensive and liberal warranty policies (Hard Drive: 5 years, all other 3 years), where other companies equipment would've been out of coverage period long before! In the rare instance of a failure within 30 days, they shipped out a replacement immediately BEFORE they've even received the failed unit back from me! This alone keeps my clients 'down-time' to a minimum. Their equipment and support is amoung the best across all industries that I encounter. Thank you to the Team at Clinton...
Read moreMy 6 cameras were installed less than a year ago along with a battery backup. 4 of them are presently not working correctly and the dvr has already been replaced. The “new” replacement camera recently installed is very blurry compared to the video on their website for this product. My blink doorbell camera that cost 1/5 of this camera is very clear. I tried to contact the company and they will only speak to the installer. I asked the installer why the high failure rate? I don’t want to be left with a system that doesn’t work once the warranty is up. His only response was that Clinton wanted to replace them under warranty. Why is no one concerned about this high failure rate? Certainly if it was at their home and their money, they would be concerned. Update: vendor that sold and installed the cameras just called me to say he had 2 cameras (under warranty) to replace but didn't mention the other two not working properly. I told him that I again, was concerned about the quality of these cameras and he said Clinton had no explanation for him as to why they are failing. So to summarize, 4 of my 6 cameras plus the dvr have went bad within a year. I told him I won't accept the replacement cameras. I paid a lot for these cameras on his recommendation and they clearly have quality issues. I have documented all of this and sent him video's and screen shots. Obviously, Clinton thinks it is okay to sell products that fail. Certainly, I'm not the only customer with...
Read moreMiserable company! Had multiple Clinton cameras installed and the company that installed the home security system tanked and left multiple homes and businesses in our area without their money and with non functioning systems. Called Clinton to get help with a non functional camera that was 3 months old. Although the camera is under warranty an RMA can only be issued to the the original installer. I and another Clinton dealer in our area (who is trying to help 3 customers left in limbo with the security installer) and who Clinton recommended, explained the problem but all to no avail.Clinton refuses to help get the camera repaired or replaced. "the rules...
