I just had one of the most humiliating experiences of my life at this restaurant. I have PTSD and have a service dog in training that I bring with me everywhere. I brought him to this restaurant and I had a hard time getting him under the table, which made sense because he is an over 100 pound dog and the tables are small. I finally got him under the table and he moved a few times to get more comfortable but ultimately bothered no one around us. After sitting there for a few minutes a women came over yelling at me about the fact he is not a service dog. I calmly explained that he is a service dog and that he is in training. She told me he jumped (which he never did) and I explained to her that he made a few small mistakes and I fixed them within a few seconds so legally she could not kick me out for it. She then asked what services he provided and I explained his ability to create barriers and help me out of flashbacks in which she claimed he was an Emotional Support Animal. (Which just showed her lack of knowledge because ESAs get no training at all) and I quickly corrected her to tell her he is not an ESA. She then asked for papers because you could easily buy vests online. Which showed her lack of knowledge once again because there is no legal way so certify a service dog and buying those papers (online by the way) are completely bogus. She ultimately told me they would not serve me and they had the right to decline me service over my service dog in training. I have anxiety so I ultimately gave into her request for me to leave right away and broke down into tears on my way out. Even the lady sitting behind me was completely shocked and told me that she was in the wrong for doing that because he bothered no one. He was not disruptive to others, at most I was disruptive for trying to teach him to lay under tables (as he couldn’t be blocking the walk way and he struggles under small tables). I have never been so humiliated over having a disability in my life and I will never EVER go back there. Especially when the owner him/herself didn’t come to talk to me and had some rude lady yell at me. Thank you Sunrise for reminding me how uneducated some people are on service dogs and thank you for disregarding my disability completely and making false comments because he didn’t get under the table right away. Please don’t go here. I would never want someone to...
Read moreFood was subpar, but worst was the customer service/management. Prices were low, but, as they say - you get what you pay for.
Baked cod fish was fishy-tasting and dry. Mashed potatoes were very lumpy and tasteless.
Stick to breakfast items here or a Texas BLT - that looked pretty good!
Our experience and why only one star:
Our waitress was very young (17?) and sweet, but did not provide silverware, did not bring syrup for the pancakes, did not refill our water until asked after they were all empty, and she charged us extra for fries that were supposed to come with the meal.
The waitress asked my son what kind of potatoes he wanted when ordering, and listed off all the choices.
When my son asked if she had forgotten the fries awhile after being served the entree, she apologized and went to check what happened and said nothing about it being an extra charge.
When paying our bill at the register, my husband asked about taking off the extra charge. After waiting for the cashier to make three different trips to the back to speak to the manager, the manager finally came up to the register.
The manager asked if my son ate the fries. Since he had, she couldn't take the charge off the bill.
It was only $1.75, but after so many things I chalked up to our waitress's inexperience, how long we had to wait for a manager, how poor the communication was, and how poor the food quality was, I left with a bad taste in my mouth.
Also I will note, the meal my son ordered was a meat skillet - nothing in the description said mushrooms were mixed in, which my son does not like. I should have asked the manager to take the skillet off the bill, as he ate very little of that and, apparently, that is what decides whether they charge you for it.
Overall, our waitress was very inexperienced and forgot the basics (silverware and syrup and refills). Management either does not care, or is not well versed on good customer service. And the food was just not very good, even for a basic...
Read more(Potentially life threatening experience if I took another bite!) Ok... I'm was surprised on the positive reviews on here, so sadly I'm going to have to break that trend. I went with a friend for some breakfast, and I started with a coffee which wasn't great, but fine. I ordered an omelette that came with toast and hash browns, and also a waffle with strawberry's. The food arrive extremely fast! We were like wow, never gotten food so quick at a sit down restaurant before. I dug in. The omelette was just ok, and edible. Honestly the toast was probably the best thing out of everything I ordered because it was browned perfect. The hash browns were absolutely horrible. You'd think a professional cook would be able to cook something as simple as frying hash browns. It was all burnt on the top and mushy on the bottom, and then they stirred it all together. Honestly the worse hash browns I ever had, and I had my 10yr old son cook me hash browns before. Then I moved on to the waffle. Right away I noticed it had black hard flakes around the edges. So waffle maker probably had leftover burned residue on it. I got 25% into eating it, and suddenly noticed a LONG SHARP SHRED OF METAL that was mixed in 😳 THANK GOD I saw it, because If I swallow that I could have had medical problems for the rest of my life or could have even died! I told the waitress and pointed the piece of metal and she asked if she wanted another waffle and I told her no. She later explained that it was from the metal scrubber they use for cleaning. The bill came and they did take the waffle off the bill, but definitely did nothing to go out of their way. If someone asked me about this place, I would tell them to definitely avoid at all costs! Unless I knew they have changed their quality of kitchen and hired some half way decent cooks. I don't usually leave many reviews, but this NEEDED to be addressed and brought up to...
