These guys are as the real deal. I found a hurt and sick little kitten and did everything I could to nurse her back to health for a week. At the end of that week, the kitten appeared worse than when we started, in critical condition. I was sure I was about to lose her. I was frantically calling different vets in our area and striking out. Most offices didnāt answer the phone and the ones who did didnāt exactly inspire confidence. As soon as I called VEHC and spoke to Casey, she was friendly and comforting. She listened to my story and was attentive and immediately offered help. Upon arriving, I knew I had made the right decision. EVERYBODY was kind and caring. We were in a room quickly. They all knew my kittenās story, they knew my concerns and all seemed to have a clear plan of action. We discussed budgetary concerns and they kept it all in mind and kept me in the loop on every dollar before it was spent. They quickly determined the major issues with my cat and came up with a plan to help her get better. Dr. Karriker explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and has the bedside manner of an angel. These people feel like your friends. No one promised me any miracles, but they gave me hope. Even if things didnāt go well, I felt confident that this team was going to do everything in their power to help my poor baby. They ended up having to keep the kitten overnight for observation after treating her and their communication is unlike any vet Iāve ever been to. They constantly kept me in the loop as to how the kitten was doing. I swear, any time I got stuck in my head worrying about the baby, itās like they knew and messaged me! I took them a very sick and hurt kitten who wasnāt going to make it. After a slumber party with her new friends, she came back brighter than Iād ever seen her. They even helped me name her! Stitch has been home and healthy for a little over a week now and you would never know she was even sick. Iāve never been to a vet that cared so much before. These guys saved my catās life and I am eternally thankful. My only regret is that I canāt use them for everything, now Iām spoiled and donāt want to go to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVEHC took care of my baby and me during the worst day of our lives. itās been over 4 months and i still have a hard time writing this, but i feel itās important. on april 4, 2025, i noticed my 4 year old tuxedo cat named Pickle was in respiratory distress. she was diagnosed asthmatic and despite her inhaler and meds, would occasionally have these flair ups. not wanting to risk it, i took her to our normal vet (Petfolk) and had her admitted. pretty rapidly she started to decline. Petfolk decided it was in her best interest to send her to VEHC for emergent treatment. Petfolk was gracious enough to have two vet nurses drive their personal car with an ambu bag with my baby to get her to VEHC safely, where she was immediately admitted. VEHC provided PHENOMENAL care for my sick baby and did everything they could. unfortunately, my beautiful 4 year-old baby, Pickle, passed away at 6:15am on 4/5/25. her little lungs couldnt handle her disease. however, VEHC went ABOVE AND BEYOND to provide my baby with excellent care in her final hours. I am still in pain, but im provided a little peace knowing she was loved and snuggled until she gained her wings. they kept me updated, allowed me ample time (HOURS) in the visitation room, and walked me through all the next steps. in the worst hours of my life, im grateful i had VEHC by my side. even after her passing, they sent me a remarkably kind letter that provided comfort. all pics attached, including my beautiful Pickle, who i will meet again one day. my heart hurts without her, but im so grateful she had the best care she couldve received. i wouldnt be able to live with myself...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you have an emergency for your fur baby, I highly recommend this hospital!! They are some of the most caring, compassionate, and hardworking people Iāve ever had the pleasure of meeting. My first baby Leo dealt with urinary issues which ended in a urinary obstruction, and I am forever grateful I brought him here. They took him right in, and did quite literally everything in their power to help my baby fight. Even though we did end up having to let him go, their helpfulness and kindness will never be forgotten (I still have the card they sent me after he passed on my refrigerator, itās never leaving!). I recently visited this clinic again with my other cat, Oscar, as he was showing similar signs to a urinary obstruction after a routine vet visit earlier in the day. Luckily, he ended up urinating in the car on the way there, but they still took him back immediately, made sure he was okay, cleaned him and his carrier, and gave me the reassurance I so desperately needed. I genuinely am so grateful for this place and to know that I have somewhere to take my babies in their time of crisis that really cares about the animals. You can tell in every interaction that these people truly love every baby like their own. I could not recommend VEHC more!! Special thank you to Adyson, Paige, Jamee, Ali, Dr. Karriker, and the incredibly sweet tech who helped us with oscar last night (i did forget her name i am so sorry but she was INCREDIBLE) and all of the VECH who took care of my boys. including pics of my babies as their thank you, and Oscar says heās feeling much...
