This business was clearly built with a lot of love, for both the Outer Banks and the people that live here. Highly recommend if you want to buy something that is truly native to the area and captures its beauty. The selection of locally produced wares - from decor and truly unique souvenirs to a local fare of preservatives, coffee, and honey - is a pleasant departure from the ‘copy-paste’ pervasiveness of Wings and its mass-produced merchandising. Built from shipwreck salvage over a century ago (according to the owner), the Old Gray House strikes an impressive contrast to other gift shops on the Outer Banks. It’s beautifully preserved and renovated interior portrays a more modern aesthetic, but that aesthetic is expertly blended with the rich history of the house and the area. Love everything about Old Grey House Gifts!!!! It is a must stop ( well maybe several stops) each visit to Hatteras!! Such neat unique items. Many locally or state made items. The coffee is absolutely delicious! I stock up on the beans. I always find something to decorate my house with there, and the soaps , I always have to have one or two. The owner is a gem and we love to talk with her and chat! Just a great experience all around ….. can’t say enough! One of our absolute favs on the island! Don’t forget to look at the items...

Small yet great selection! Cool little nick- nacks and beach souvenirs! There is an outside section that you can browse through full of really detailed and intricate yard statues/ mulch bed art. Inside is an assortment of beach souvenirs, different food items and a room dedicated to toys, puzzles and games. Over all I had a great time looking around and there were some certain had to have items I couldn't walk out of there not having in my home. Wish I would have had more...
