Do not ever book a guided private tour with this company. We asked for local places and we were taken to every well known spot on the island. Our trip was 12 hours long and 8 of it was spent in the car driving and not on the pretty part of the island on the dessert rainy area. Not to mention the guides knew literally nothing about the island. The guide wouldn't offer any information we would have to ask to get information but even then his only answer was I did this when I was younger. Took us to a snorkeling spot where we couldn't see any fish and then didn't take us to any other location to snorkel. Also the guide brought his phone into the water and was just txting and calling his friends the whole time. In the car ride the two guides were chatting like we weren't in the vehicle. The one guide victor was bragging about how he wanted time off so he lied to his boss about being exposed to covid the past 15 days. Also the other tour guide fell asleep in the car multiple times. I wouldn't even specify it as a private tour because one of the tour guides was using our day and his day to see the island. At many locations we were waiting for him to get done shopping or taking pictures. As the day went on we were supposed to visit the erupting volcano we have been there before so we knew it was going to be cold. Apparently the guides had no idea so we had to drive an hour to go to a Ross and pick them up sweatshirts. In which one of the guides spent 20 minutes on the phone with someone and then decided to buy something. So we effectively were paying for our tour guides to shop which took away 2 hours of what was supposed to be a guided tour. When we got to the volcano park they had no idea where to take us. We had to search on our phones where the spot was so actually see the lava and ask the park rangers. When we called there boss the day after to at least get a 50% refund he said he would talk to his employees to see what the problem is. He claimed that he can't control the weather and that is why everything went wrong on the tour. Then he tried to yell at us on the phone as well. To say the least this is not a tour guide business this is a completely unprofessional taxi business with lazy and incompetent workers. Our "guides" names were victor and avontraz would not recommend them or this...

R&L Taxi&Tours provided our Private Tour Service of Kona, Hawaii Our Driver, Thomas, was the absolute best! He accommodated our every need. He started our tour off with a trip to his favorite coffee shop where we got delicious Kona coffee. We drove all around Kona and he shared his extensive knowledge about the history and various stories of the Island people. He also shared his family history and those living in his community. We stopped at roadside fruit stands and had fresh fruit. Then we had the best Poke’ bowls on the Island from his favorite neighborhood market! The staff treated us like family. We visited several Farmers’ Market. But Thomas took us to one that was hidden away with the best, friendliest people, with top quality merchandise! We purchased beautiful jewelry, dresses and shirts. One of the vendors thanked us and told us he had been in business for over 25 years! It was a great experience! Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Thomas concluded our day with a stop at the White Sand Beach at the Kekahakai State Park We took breath taking pictures of the stunning beach shore! This was a fabulous and memorable day for our first visit in Kona…one we will...
