This place is great, and I would recommend it. It has everything that any home gardener, landscaper, or plant enthusiast could want. I have come here many times for my own personal shopping, but what sets Hawthorn Gardens apart for me is when I came here for work. I work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and our vocational / advanced horticulture class scheduled a visit here. Everyone at Hawthorn Gardens was very welcoming and excited to show us around. Matt, one of the managers, lead us on a tour and was respectful, engaging, and kept all of us entertained, while educating the participants on the intricacies of a 'typical' day in a nursery. Bill, the owner, also showed us around and talked with our participants about unique plants and showed us a great time. I have been shopping at Hawthorne gardens for many years. Every time I go, I've been greeted, assisted and advised no matter how busy they were. They have Covid precautions put into place to protect their customers especially when times are busy and social distancing may be difficult. They are always happy to try and locate hard to find plants and garden supplies for me and their prices, when compared to other nursery or big box stores are fair or better for the quality of the items purchased. They take the time to advise on planting sites as well as appropriate plants or substitutes for various gardening needs. Their plant and tree stock is excellent quality. Hawthorn Gardens is a great place to visit whether you are looking for indoor or outdoor plants and supplies. They have a large selection of bird feeders, pots and containers, supplies, wind spinners, decorative stone and other related items. Like most places though, don't just spend indiscriminately; some items are overpriced while others are great deals.

I've found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable about the plants on hand. They've often made fantastic suggestions for plants that I never knew about when asked for ideas.

The greenhouse is large and well-stocked so if you need a literal breath of fresh air in the middle of winter, it's a refreshing place to visit. The outdoor area, feels small, but really is just well designed and laid out so that it doesn't feel...
