Kemper Furniture — Local services in Hazard

Would not recommend, I have bought a $1,200 Catnapper motorized recliner from Kemper Furniture from hazard.... I had the chair for only a few months for the motor to fail. I was approved for warranty April 17th and told it would arrive in two weeks. Its the 26th of May no motor. I have called Kemper three times over this time span and they have said "they will call me back". Nope, no return call. Spoke with them on a motor on 26th May and was told they "waiting on the Manufacturer (Catnapper) to send a motor". And was told honey, if you pick here or anywhere you would be in the same spot. Then told me it was like waiting for his 70,000 dollar truck that is needing a part that he is currently waiting for 6 months. Your truck situation does not pertain to a furniture business. Told him I could be bring chair back and have exchanged for one chair of equal value. Told me thats not how warranties work. I said Sir, I know that... but that is how morality works...... You put your name to it, you make it right. I will continue to wait for this motor. But once this issue is resolved, I will never buy from Kemper Furniture in Hazard again. And I will pass this along to others. Also, when i said this to the owner of Kemper Furniture of Hazard he told me that I would not be telling the truth. More or less calling me a liar........ Right or wrong, calling your customers liars in a round a bout way is bad for business.......... Will say this, the manager was quite nice and did her best to help me. Didn't catch your name manager. But you need to find another job. Cause the owner of Kemper Furniture does not...

Great friendly staff prices not to bad. Always heard they were way over priced when compared to other places within 150 mile radius they were cheaper by 1000.00 bucks. I furnished my whole house with them 4 bedrooms living room family room dining room and kitchen spent less than 15,000.00 and got great quality furniture and a couple free televisions. Complete bedroom suits not just beds.
