At Delta Dirt Distillery, you’ll meet an amazing family with a heartwarming story about a sharecropper’s grandkids who now own and farm the land. You’ll hear about how they use the sweet potatoes from their farm to make vodka, how they take the runoff back to the farm for the cows, and you’ll see a father, mother, and two sons working their tails off to be the best and first black owned farm to table distillery in America. They are also the first black owned distillery in Arkansas. Must mention their juniper flavored gin and smooth sweet potato vodka and how I didn’t get out of there without two bottles of each and some t-shirts. Their menu is creative and tasty. They are kind and smiley even when busy. And their bourbon is coming. Wow. Wow. Wow. I’ll be back. And with more friends. Memphis business owners you need to get into this asap. You’ll want it on your shelves and while your at it maybe invest in their restaurant they plan to place next door. If I had the $$. This place will be a gold...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place. They make remarkably good vodka and did the place up so it has a terrific vibe.
I love the way they took the old building and restored it while making it modern as well. It's incredibly cool how you can sit at the bar and see the enormous copper still right through an huge window.
The owners were behind the bar and very friendly. They even gave us a tour of how they make the spirits. They grow the sweet potatoes that the vodka is made from themselves, iif you can believe that!
They're mixed cocktails were great too. They let us try a new raspberry cocktail they were developing. So sweet you couldn't taste the alcohol. My girlfriend loved it! I can't wait to go back there. It was totally worth driving half an hour...
Read moreI returned to my home hometown of West Helena, Arkansas, from GA, recently for my Aunt's funeral. My sister encouraged me to go by the distillery that everyone was raving about with her. Let me tell you, It was not a disappointment. Met up with a couple from GA who just happened to be graduates of CHS. We had a blast reminiscing and drinking from the specialty drink menu. I highly recommend this spot to everyone who likes smooth jazz and R & B while enjoying a smooth drink while watching my man Harvey Williams, the owner, do his thing. All I know is dem bottles were rolling off the conveyor belt.. #supportblackbusiness ...
