They should wait until they are actually ready to reopen after renovations before doing so. This was one of my least favorite spa experiences I've ever encountered. We visited on the first week after it was supposedly renovated, although it didn't appear to be updated. This is an Aveda spa, yet there were absolutely no product samples to be found. The dressing rooms had no lotions, and the showers had no shampoo, conditioner or anything else for that matter. After walking back out to the front desk looking for some, I was told they hadn't installed the dispensers yet, but she'd be glad to get me a sample of something if I knew what I wanted. She said they'd taken some of the things home since they'd been closed and forgot to bring them all back. Really!? I've visited numerous spas in my time, and normally love doing so, but not this time. All the ones I've enjoyed have fully stocked dressing areas with brushes, hairdryers, hairstyling tools, and all sorts of toiletry items, but not this one. Not even a box of tissues. One of the two dry saunas was "broken" and even after being shown the working one and told we could stay as long as we'd like after the massages, they didn't even turn it on, so we would've had to wait another 20 minutes or so before it would be warm when finding it off and going back out to the front desk to ask about it afterwards. As for the men, they didn't even supply robes or bath towels for them. Not a single open locker had either, only hand towels. Even after bringing it to their attention and one of the men walking out in his underwear, it wasn't until he point blank asked for a robe, before he was offered one. I was supposed to have a deep tissue massage, but it was barely an uncomfortable rub down. I asked for more pressure a couple of times, but because of hangnails on her manicure I winced and moved away every time she tried and she backed off. We should've spoken up before paying and certainly shouldn't have allowed the automatic tip to be added, but that's on us. While we loved the hotel they're located in, they aren't owned by The Westin so you can't charge to your room, and no hotel points can be earned. I'll try the spa at the nearby Hilton next time. So...

If you are stressed from the holidays or a parent who needs to pamper yourself one last time before the kids go on holiday break, you won't find a rest & relax moment here.
To start, when you step off the elevator, you feel as if you are stepping into a basement. The decor is not appealing either. The massage rooms reminded me of a doctor's office room.
If you're lucky and appear to look like a Kardashian, they will inform you that there are showers available to rinse the tons of oil and cream off. If you look like an average person, they will give you an excuse about the availability of showers.
I was told the sauna was not working and has been out of service for some time.
Most importantly, if you are female and have a male Misseus, make sure you undress and jump under the covering fast, he walks right in without knocking.
If you are looking for spa experience, try Green Vally Ranch. It might not be near a lake, but at least you will walk...
Read moreMy hubby booked an 80 minute couples message for us for our anniversary. We were met with a exceptionally friendly staff. The spa was relaxing and very clean. Showers and steam room are there for use while u wait. Theresa was friendly and very soft spoken. She made me feel very comfortable. The entire experience was well worth the price. Theresa was priceless. She asked all the right questions and went right to work. This was by far one of the best I have ever had. I made sure i told a few of the other guests of my experience and recommended Theresa and they too were singing her...
