If I were writing the most truthful review, I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I felt very degraded, belittled, and overall not even like a customer at this establishment. The staff is absolutely terrible and while this liquor store is the closest to my house, I will be making the extra drive to ensure better customer service. As will my family and friends after hearing my buying experience.
Upon making my purchase I approached the cashier, Roger, and he greeted me with, "OH C'MON. You had better have an ID." I was a little taken back by the greeting but continued with my purchase only for him to say, "I mean you look like a little puppy dog." Right after, I'm supposing it was the manager who passed by, told my cashier that the ABC will be coming to make sure they are all ID'ing. My cashier responds by yelling throughout the entire store, "OH DON'T YOU WORRY I TRIPLE CHECKED THIS ONE RIGHT HERE."
After leaving the liquor store I called later in the day and asked to speak to the manager about my embarrassing experience at the store. The manager doesn't handle the situation AT ALL, actually barely even spoke to me and passes me off to Roger, my cashier from earlier.
Yes, I understand. I look young for my age. I get it. I got it with the first statement that was said. But during my buying experience I was embarrassed in front of the other customers in the store. It was extremely demeaning and degrading to purchase from these idiots. Also, Mr. Manager, although I'm unaware of your name, you also handled the situation poorly. You're the manager, deal with customer...
Read moreDo not support this place. I bought a $25 bottle of liquor here and noticed on my bank statement a few days later i was charged double. I called and was told there was a computer glitch and to stop by sometime and get my credit. I stopped by and was then told they would have to wait for there accountant to verify it and i would get a call. After 3 or 4 days of not getting a call i began to call them, all the employees who answered the phone were rude and nosy as to why i was asking for a manager or accountant. When i walked in the store to get my credit late after work, the employees behind the counter looked at me like i was out of my mind and had a horn growing out of my forehead. I asked for a specific employee and the other employee kept asking Who? What? Who? Who? I eventually yelled his name, he was standing right beside the guy i asked for. Of course there was a cop standing there with sunglasses on at 8:30pm inside the store talking to these idiot employees. Not once did anyone tell me "Im sorry for the inconvenience" or anything at all. It was as if they acted like it was my mistake. From now on i will go out of my way NOT to go here. Buy from Pour Vous on indian lake instead. Places like this shouldn't exist. Where's your respect?...
Read moreVery rude employees. Have been in there multiple times in the short time I have lived in Hendersonville. Was never supper impressed with the customer service, but the selection was good on liquor and decent for beer also it was convenient. Today I went in and the employees were extremely rude. Did not ask to see my ID but I had it out and ready so I went ahead and showed it to him, it is the law after all. He acted like it was a huge inconvenience for him to have to look at my ID and how dare I do this without him asking. Again it is the law for them to ask, mind you I do look over 21 I'm also not super old (only 28). There were other customers in there that they were being very friendly to. I guess since I'm not a "regular" I don't get good service. All this to say, I won't be going back I'll just drive a little farther to a store that actually wants...
