This is my home church for over 20 years. I started going there because other children’s ministry and we were new to the area. It lived up to all my hopes and my children have my lifelong friends there they are now grown adults with kids of their own. Our youngest is 19 and still going. They do have some thing for everyone you only get bored if you don’t participate. Yes… It is a big church maybe even considered a mega church but please don’t let that throw you. If you get into a class you go to church and sit in basically the same area that right there is a group of people that will be your people really soon. If you have children you’ll get to know the parents because they have a lot of opportunities for that to happen. I just recently went to a Jennifer Rothschild speaking engagement our church and it really opens doors for you to get you in for half the women in your life that might not otherwise step into a church if it wasn’t someone like her. But another thing they have Is all three of their morning worship services are on live. There still many who aren’t ready to be out in the world and they are very supportive of that. Merry Christmas...
Read moreThis visit wasn't 2 attend a church service but 2 actually walk my little Shih Tzu puppy! I was looking 4 a safe place close 2 my house & I had been here a few times in the past bcz it has a lot of grass 2 walk her. As I was getting out of the car, she saw a gentleman that was doing yardwork & went running over 2 him, which he immediately bent down 2 greet her! He then introduced himself 2 me as a deacon of the church & told me 2 feel welcome walking her bcz they had safety measures in place which made me feel even more safe than just knowing I was at a church walking her by myself!! He was a super nice man, that made me feel welcome & safe & even invited me 2 church! He just had no idea that I needed that invite that day & so I can tell you that I will definitely be back 2 actually go 2 a...
Read moreI'm working out of town and called about using the gym for just shooting basketball. Lady on phone was real friendly but I asked when gym was open and she told me 5pm. She then said it was $15 per day or $120 per year. I then questioned $15 just to shoot hoops and she replied yes. I told her I was just out of town working for a safe place to play basketball. She said sorry but it's $15. Back home we have several churches in the area with just as nice recreation areas and they are free. Even if they charged I would about bet that if I explained I was working out of town and wanted to shoot hoops, with hopefully good people, then they would probably waive the fee for a night or two. Heck, might even get invited to worship at a service sometime! Hate they missed an outreach...
