I wish there was a way to give this store no stars. This store is not even worth giving a one star. I will tell you if you are a customer who wants to be put through torment and poor customer service by all means this is the place to go. They don't care about you as a customer or what is going on in your life all they care about is the fact they get money in their hands. I moved to Herrin IL from 5 hours away from where my family resides. My father passed away suddenly and I had to pick up in the middle of the night and go back to my home town to handle things. I am his only son and my sister who is from a different father went with me. I am dealing with family and the fact my father died and Carl calls me and he is rude every time that you talk to him anyway starts by saying I have to have a payment or my stuff today. There was no hi or any type of asking when I could make a payment. I was extremely upset so I simply hung up the phone that was not even a Rent One number to begin with he used his personal phone. He proceeds to call me back and yells on my voice mail and my sister listens to it and she calls and talks to the store manager that seemed to actually show some fake compassion in the matter and says sorry she will handle it and for us to call and let her know when she can get our payment. I wait a few days and we call and again no compassion just we need a payment and flip out and then all of a sudden they figure out that they could move the payment to the end so it made the account current. By the Aarons where I also have dealings with actually credited the payment which completely erased the payment. It seems like everything fell apart after that I have dealt with nothing but rudeness since which I finally heard from a friend that Rent One is known for this after you pay so much on an item because they truly hope that you will just return the stuff so they can make more money be re-renting it to some else which by the way they are not supposed to rent it out for more than the total amount it would cost someone for 24 months so if someone has paid 18 months on an item they can only by law rent it to a new customer for only 6 months which I hear they do not do they make as much as they can off of it. So be very careful because I am not dealing with these people any more and I happen to be returning items that only have 6 payment left on them so lets see how many payments is posted on them later. but hey I am smart enough that I am logging model and S# so that I can see if they pull any of this because I will repot it. They do not care about you as a customer or a person and as long as you have family that happens to be more important they don't like it. They are a company and staff that expects to be the first in line and number 1 of importance. So if you are a type of customer that wants to deal with a company that wants to be the number one importance go in and talk with Erika or Carl and you will NOT BE LET DOWN! If you consider that family is the number one priority in your life then DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR RENT ONE BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE WHAT WHY OR WHO IS MORE IMPORTANT. Oh and they will try and act as if they care for about 2 seconds and you can call and let them know of issues and actually tell them that you are 5 hours away dealing with something and the person you say this too still will go to your house to see if you are there. I have a card that was left on my door to show that oh and of course I almost forgot I have cameras on the outside of my house that took the picture....... The really funny thing is I signed on to the online account and seen a $10 charge for a house call that was done after I already called and told them I was dealing with an issue 5 hours away...... Hope you have better luck with these people who don't care about you as a customer than I did because all they care about is putting money in there pockets and not about customers. Be wise go to Aarons you won't be sorry for doing it because I was really happy returning to a card in my mailbox from Aarons saying sorry...

I have been a customer for many years .bought tv's living room bedroom sets.tablets computers washer and dryer fridgerator stove and others furniture. Read moreTheir delivery driver wasn't able to pick up the washer and dryer. Was not able to pick it up, the delivery driver said they would pick it up 2 days later, told us it would not be a problem. Except when we paid it payment on our other stuff, they charged us for The delivery driver not being able to pick up. When we explained that they said they did not care and had an order in to pick up all our other products at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. So if we had not gone into the store not only would we have been charged something that we were told we would not be charged but they were coming to pick up our other products the next morning, because all of the sudden we owed money we didn't owe.
