Woodard's Pharmacy — Local services in Hertford

I have been to Woodard's many times, and always had a positive experience. That's why I'm giving two stars and not one. My most recent visit was NOT a positive one. The staff was about as curt and unwelcoming as that of your average DMV, as if I were inconveniencing them by shopping there. One employee was wearing a t-shirt with some pretty disgusting profanity, and I'm astonished that a family-oriented business would allow that (no chain pharmacy would ever allow their employees to dress like that, by the way).

The cashier was quite rude (again, as though I were bothering her by buying things). Before leaving I said "merry Christmas," (Christmas is the day after tomorrow), and she made absolutely no reply. Nothing. Just ignored me.

I think I'll just go to Walgreens from now on. Why spend extra in a small "friendly" business, when the staff...

Although the ice cream is good and the prices are great, the dine in part of the store is extremely dirty. Caked on food under the cushions. Under the booths appears as though it hasn't been mopped in a very long time. A fan with thick dust over the food prep area flinging dust all over the serving counters. Instead of the young staff wiping off tables, counters and seats, they stand around on their phones. When I brought the lack of cleanliness to the managers attention I was more than less shrugged off, then stood by the door for a moment to hear all the staff laughing at my comments rather than doing something about it. Charles Woodard is amazing and miss Linda is very sweet, as well. However, the rest of the employees are extremely rude and not personable even in the slightest. Multiple times I have told the two black men to have a nice day and they replied “Mhm”. I only used color to describe them because I do no know their names but I do know they are related. Son and father. The younger girls that work there are always short with me and act like serving me is an inconvenience no matter how nice I am.
