Springs Crossing — Local services in Hickory

I used to live on Springs Rd and this was one of my daily go-tos. Overall I'll give you the downlow on Food Lion as a whole, then on this particular one.

FL is run by a woman CEO. In fact, the biz was borderline about to bite the big one YEARS ago, but this beautiful genius took it over and now it rocks out...as (if I'm not mistaken)... THE fastest growing and largest food/supermarket chain localized & home-based in our good 'ole NC, and frankly the whole SE.

Their corporate is in Salisbury, and honestly, their generic brands will be fresher than ANY brand name you can find unless they are delivering it from like a bakery, which they also do if they can't make it in house.

BECAUSE...they are buying from LOCAL bizs! That affordable pickle or pizza was purchased then stored at their warehouse in Salisbury...& it comes to you quicker and cheaper bc of it. Plus it's most likely from a farm down the road, not from a plant in Chile or wherever

This is GENIUS! In addition, they give back to the community through donations and providing for our local soup kitchens and food pantries. This company cares that food prices are an issue for us, and hunger is real. They don't waste, they donate.

They hire and maintain staff that are qualified, and live as our neighbors. Also, they still offer old-school customer service and don't force me to bag my own stuff, which I applaud.

Food lion is available here. They do not have a fresh meat market. But it is set up like all other good lions . Go to where it's at in your local community store and you will find it here. There are usually at least two registers open . More using heavy business hours. It's clean and the general manager seems to have a good hand on this store. The crossing doesn't offer much of anything else worth eating or shopping. Plenty of parking a d a close by bank with an atm makes it a convenient way to be ready for...

I love going to see the girl's that works here thay are so sweet and always nice and great you ever time you come in and remember you to and if you're there all the time like we are they always remember what we get they are sweet bunch of girls you need to stop by and see him they are so helpful and will offer to serve you up something nice and sweet come in and visit...
