I don't have much of a history with Biscuitville. There used to be one in Hickory over on Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard that went out of business over ten years ago. Other than that, I've had it a couple times. I was pretty stoked this location was opening, replacing Shell's BBQ.
I've eaten at this location three times now. The food has always been hot and the employees friendly. There are two notes of criticism, one toward this location, one toward Biscuitville as a whole.
Firstly, this location has gotten my order wrong every time I have gone. The first time, the strawberries were left off the strawberry pancakes. Another time, I had ordered the strawberry pancakes again and when I got home, it was a sausage biscuit and scrambled eggs. I don't eat sausage for religious reasons so I was out of luck. I guess if I brought it back to the restaurant, they probably would have replaced it, but it's too much of a pain for me to do that. I guess I should have checked my order but that can be difficult when you have a lot of items and the pressure of the massive line that frequently stretches out into the road (which in turn causes traffic hazards).
Secondly, Biscuitville as a whole seems very mid-tier. For a restaurant that touts its biscuits, they are extremely mediocre. They're bland, dry, and not really flaky. This has been my experience at every Biscuitville. I don't think their chicken is processed, but it tastes like it is. The country fries (basically potato wedges with Cajun seasoning) and cinnamon roll were fantastic but pretty much everything else can be gotten in better quality elsewhere. For their above average prices, I would expect better quality.
Overall, Biscuitville is decent. It doesn't particularly excel at their food or accuracy, but it can be a pretty good breakfast or lunch. I'll continue returning. Perhaps as the employees become better trained, some of my complaints will cease to be germane to the...
Read moreI haven't ate here yet, just reading the reviews before I go this weekend. It's insane that adults are going on Google rating this place so low because they're whining about them not being open when they want them to be. This person literally said "their sign says opening January, but they didn't open until January 24th". umm is that not January still? People are ridiculous, launching a business isn't easy, they didn't lie, quit whining to get free food and hurting their business with low reviews over nonsense. Can't wait to try yall this weekend, will update about food when I get home from eating there Saturday! UPDATE went today, had some spare time that I didn't see coming. The food was absolutely wonderful, 10/10, the drive thru line was long - all the parking spots for inside dining was full and we still went through the line really fast! Felt like I blinked and the food was getting handed to me. Everyone was super nice, they even gave us 2 doggy biscuits for free. Blew my mind. This place is wonderful. I definitely will be going back and I highly...
Read moreEverything was great except for the stack of pancakes I ordered. We've ordered the 3 stack of pancakes at another Biscuitville a few times and they were perfect so that's what I had in mind when I ordered these but I was sadly mistaken. I paid over $5 for 3 small silver dollar sized pancakes that tasted like flour, the pancakes from the other Biscuitville were normal plate sized and delicious. The Sausage Gravy Biscuit and Loaded Country Fries we ordered were really good. The Loaded Fries had the expected toppings ( Buttermilk Ranch, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon Bits ) plus a topping I didn't expect - Sausage Gravy which made the already good flavor great. We will probably go back but unfortunately I will no longer be ordering the pancakes. I also want to mention that the cashier was very nice, she smiled the whole time and even joked around a little with us when we...
