Food Lion — Local services in High Point

I have to take away 2 stars from my previous 5 star review because of cashier 0204 Everytime I go to her line she seems to have a attitude I asked for something and she says at me WHAT YOU SAY SPEAK LOUDER in not a friendly voice Then when giving me back my change she shoved it in my hand when I just handed it to her You will stick out like a sore thumb if everyone else that works there is friendly and you acting that way that's not good I know it was early but keep your attitude at home My mom explained she might have stuff going on at home listen IDC keep your problems at home I took OCS in school I know what is expected at a work sight and attitude ain't it Fake it until you make it is what my teacher taught me she also told me if your unhappy with your job find a new one At first I thought maybe she just didn't like me But who could not like me the only thing that comes out my mouth is HI 😊 other than that I'm quite But other than that cashier I LOVE THAT MARKET the staff their is so friendly and helpful like so helpful they need a raise honestly the store is always clean and the lines are never long because all the lanes have people working and they make sure lines never get to long

This is a mid-sized store with very reasonable prices and, as important to me, very friendly staff and fresh vegetables. Another plus to visiting this store is that it generally is not crowded or with long lines awaiting checkout, so you're able to get in and out fairly quickly. The only con I would mention is that if it does become very busy and crowded, their parking is sort of compact, partly because they're sharing space with other stores in the strip mall they're in, but there are several parking spaces for handicapped or for those who need a shorter distance to walk after surgery or for whatever reason. UPDATE: The strip mall this store is in was bought by HPU, so there's no thru-way to Lexington Ave anymore (at least right now), and the parking area left now has a fence blocking access to any remaining store in the complex. Mentioned just so you know you can't get to the Dollar Store and tobacco shop through Food Lion's parking lot. You have to turn off Lexington to go to...

I was just there at 4 o’clock, me and a gentleman behind me waiting in the ridiculously long lines. Noticed all but two lights were on. He leaned behind me and asked if this lane next to us was open I thought and I said I didn’t know, that the light was off but two people standing there. So he leaned over and politely asked the cashier (who didn’t hear him) so he said it a little louder “excuse me, maam” and the lady behind the cashier— she was a heavier woman with short hair looked up and asked if what he needed and he responded to asking if that lane was going to be open?? She responded with major lip “it will be if you could just relax” and I mean put major attitude behind that. He then proceeded to say it was only a question and then she went off on him causing he huge scene. ABSOLUTELY SECOND HAND EMBARRASSMENT from her yelling at him. Fix your employees. Found my beer...
