I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Sandston At Home store, and I must say, it is hands-down one of the most organized retail stores I have ever seen. The attention to detail, particularly in color coordination, was absolutely flawless. As a designer, I truly appreciate a well-organized space, and this store exceeded my expectations.
A huge shoutout to Cindy, the store manager, and the two other ladies who assisted me during my visit. Their customer service was top-notch—friendly, helpful, and professional. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, and it made my shopping experience even more enjoyable. I was so impressed that I took several pictures to capture how well-maintained the store was.
Given my great experience at Sandston, I decided to give the Chesterfield At Home store a try, expecting a similar level of service and organization. Unfortunately, my experience there was incredibly disappointing. Despite seeing at least six employees walking around, not once was I greeted. The aisles were a complete mess—I actually had to step over items just to navigate the store. I couldn’t even find what I needed, so I ended up leaving.
What frustrated me most was that the employees seemed disengaged. Instead of tidying up the store or assisting customers, they appeared to be just walking around. When I finally asked a question, it felt like I was bothering them rather than receiving the help I expected.
The contrast between the two stores was night and day. Sandston At Home welcomed me the moment I walked in, and their customer service was exceptional. Chesterfield At Home, on the other hand, lacked organization, attentiveness, and basic customer service skills.
If you’re looking for a great shopping experience, I highly recommend the Sandston At Home store. Their team truly understands the importance of customer service and maintaining a well-organized store. Chesterfield, on the other hand, has a lot of room for improvement. Thank you to the three young ladies that help me. You guys are truly an asset to that store. I had to take photos of the store. Everything...
Read moreIt's an interesting store to go to. They have a few designer lines of outdoor merchandise and a lot of decorative items for the home, some bedding and domestics. I was looking for stackable patio furniture and cushions. Compared to many other stores their patio furniture is more reasonable but I still felt that $89 was too much to pay for a folding metal chaise lounge. Their outdoor umbrellas are reasonably priced and they have pretty colors. The 1 in thick patio cushions were a bit pricey but they had some pretty colors. They ran out of the design I chose and I have not seen them back in stock yet. That was disappointing. I thought that the base for the family room umbrella was too expensive but bought it anyway and then discovered it would be difficult to fill with sand because of a narrow opening in the side. I'll have to buy a funnel to get the sand inside there. It was fun to visit but I noticed there were few employees and it took me a while to find someone so I could ask some questions. The store was clean and bright with...
