Bridal Veil Falls is a roadside waterfall just west of Highlands on US-64. The entire waterfall is 120 feet, but it's not possible to see the entire thing. And in dry conditions, it's barely a trickle. But what makes this waterfall really unique is that you can drive right under it! When the highway was built, the route went under the waterfall. However, ice and erosion from the falls were damaging the road and larger vehicles couldn't go under. So the highway was routed around the falls for thru traffic, but there was still the option of driving under. In 2003, a huge boulder fell and blocked the road under the falls, but the boulder was removed in 2007 and the path is clear now. It's just 2.5 miles west of Highlands on US-64 and you can't miss it. There is a forest service sign and a parking area as well as the road...

Probably neat to see when there is plenty of water, but otherwise, a major letdown. Granted, we were there during a dry spell, but other falls in the area still had water. This was just a trickle, literally. VERY accessible (a turn-out from U.S. 64 actually goes under it, but I’m not sure it’s ever open anymore) and worth seeing for the uniqueness, but not very pretty otherwise, and definitely a low flow/volume of water. If in the area, see Dry Falls, right down the road. (the name is not appropriate)

Positives: Unique, road goes under it, VERY accessible. Negatives: Very low water flow (need to go when it’s wet), not very...

The road to pass under is closed but there's an area slightly ahead to park. About ten cars can park safely there. It is quite a nice site and further ahead there's a parking area to view another waterfall. Note: we did get lost finding this place since my sister found it on Facebook. The best thing is to search it on Google and follow the route. There are several areas along the way to stop and view the mountains. It is a wonderful scenic sight to come and distress. I certainly enjoyed taking deep breaths of fresh air and seeing all the beauty of nature along with my family. Definitely recommend for a...

Quick and easy waterfall visit, especially when pressed for time. Great for photos and has plenty of parking. Literally parking right next to the falls.
