Horrible pharmacy experience. Duke called in Rx. Waited three hrs to give them time to fill Rx. Then phoned Walgreens, was instantly placed on automatic hold, 3 customers ahead of me. (What is this an airline?) Finally got someone, assumed it was a tech, I asked tech if Rx had been filled. She checked, replied Walgreens had to ask the MD to clarify the dosage. Had Walgreens called? Walgreen tech didn't know! I questioned the tech: "I know this isn't' about you but Walgreens. Why is it I can see an MD at Duke in ¼ the time faster than it takes to reach someone on the phone at Walgreens" Tech: "We're very busy here!" Me: then shouldn't you talk to your manager and say customers are complaining? Her: It doesn't do any good." Me: you don't know if anyone at Walgreens contacted Duke to clarify the Rx? Her: "We're so busy here." Me: Well when will this be resolved? Her: "When we get time." Caught in a Walgreens' loop of mismanagement, I hung up, let her work on her heavy workload, called Duke, got someone right away, asked if they could back out the Rx they sent to Walgreens and resubmit it to Hillsborough Pharmacy. Yes, they could right away. I went to Hillsborough Pharmacy. Got my prescription filled: 1,2,3! If Walgreens does not care about customer satisfaction, I do and take my...
Read moreI used to work at Walgreens when it was Kerr Drug. They thrived on customer service and friendliness. Unfortunately, that is not what you will find when you go anymore. I called and spoke to someone in pharmacy today, for the second time , for a simple prescription refill. The girl I spoke with was absolutely the rudest person I have dealt with! Unfortunately, she is who I have had the pleasure of dealing with both times I have called. For some reason, they have no record of my previous prescriptions and she refused to refill until they did. I get that. So I called my doctor who reassured me that the prescription had been called in and I have two refills left. She confirmed that the pharmacy is making a mistake and this is the 6th mistake that this doctor alone has dealt with from this pharmacy for different things. Again, I call the pharmacy. The same girl argues the entire time and is so rude. I'm talking in a nice tone and she was responding just hateful. I will be pulling all of my business and going to Hillsborough pharmacy from now on. This is not the first issue I had with them but their management and employees just keep getting worse and worse. Sad to watch a place go down...
Read moreI do not recommend. This pharmacy is disorganized and has poor customer service and a dirty waiting area. They somehow merged my profile with a complete stranger, which must have been a HIPAA violation as personal information for myself and this other person was visible to me. They’ve randomly closed when we were expecting to pick up a prescription and did not communicate about the closure, leaving us without the medication we needed. They seem to have communication issues with nearly every prescription I’ve sent there, blaming it on the sending doctor. And I’m often made to feel as though I’m inconveniencing the staff there just by picking up a prescription. The person working this morning barely listened to what I needed to communicate and talked over me. Additionally the waiting area is filthy, with food on the floor and extremely dirty carpets. There are lots of other pharmacy options in the area, and I recommend going with one of those...
