Stairs Cleveland / Helping Handrails — Local services in Hinckley Township

March 2025: We needed a hand rail for the step into the house from the garage to make ingress and egress easier for my dad. I came across a great solution from Stairs Cleveland that they had posted on their website. After speaking with the owner Dave, he mentioned that the metal hand rail posted on the website is completely fabricated by his son Sam. We had Sam install the hand rail in the garage and it is the perfect solution for our needs. It is well constructed and solidly attached to the door frame as well as the concrete floor. The sturdy and long handle at the top of the handrail makes it easy to grab and hold. If anyone is looking for a hand rail solution for garage steps (or other applications), I highly recommend this product. It was also a pleasure to work with both Dave and Sam.

April 2025: We needed to add a curved handrail to the wall opposite the banister handrail for the stairway. Dave gave us different options in terms of handrail styles and woods, and how he would do the install. Once we made the decisions, Dave and Sam came in to do the install. They took care to place runners, cover the stair carpet with plastic, and began the process of doing measurements for the install. Over three days, they installed a custom curved handrail that was stained perfectly to match as close as possible to the existing handrails. It is extremely sturdy and met our expectations 100%. As part of a remodel, we needed to replace the bottom portion of our staircase. I found Dave through excellent reviews online and am so grateful to have found him! He is an absolute gem. He takes pride in what he does and it was a joy to see a true craftsman pouring his heart into his work. He helped us find a custom stain to fit that we love. The staircase is central to our home and it feels like a beautiful piece of artwork now.

He took our vision, brought it to life and it is more beautiful that I could have hoped for. I would recommend him to anyone! There are not enough words to express how thrilled I am with my new stair railing. I cannot stop staring at how beautiful it is. Dave, Mike and Sam were the absolute best people I have had the pleasure to meet since moving to Cleveland.
