Village of Homer Glen — Local services in Homer Glen

The Christmas event every year gets worse. The lights lacked for this event. So many other towns have better lights. New Lenox and Tinley park have a better setup and more activities. There events have many vendors more lights Ice skating free cookies hot chocolate the list can go on even horse rides in a carriage. The one year Homer hosted they had a hot chocolate booth and a chili van and the grinch. They barely had a turnout of people less than 30 people the one night we went. That was a weekend on a Saturday! That’s not a good combination especially for kids to get sick with chili and hot chocolate. This event has barely any lights and the lights look like that someone just threw it together last minute or it was like looking at someone’s backyard. It’s not worth going to this event. I try every year to go and it gets worse each year. Whoever is in charge should come up with a better plan or make it more appealing. There’s a year to plan this and it’s like zero effort put into this event. We only stayed less than ten minutes. We had to drive to new Lenox for a better expierence.
