I finally got a chance to stop here and WOW, I'm impressed! I was immediately greeted and directed to the fresh fish area. The fish could not look fresher! I was asked to select my fish and they would cut it up any way I like. Fish were filleted to perfection. Not a bone or scale was found at the dinner table. I stopped going to Golden Rule after an employee pressured me to get the precut fillets and was annoyed when I asked him to clean and fillet the fish I had chosen. Not to mention the abundance of scales and fish bones that were overlooked. I am definitely coming back and plan to make this a regular stop. I've already recommended it to my friends and will promote this market to all my colleagues and local clients. I generously fed 4 people an excellent dinner for the price of 1 fish dinner at any seafood restaurant. I haven’t had seafood this fresh since I left Puerto Rico! Open Sea delivers exactly what it promises — Daily Fresh Fish from the Ocean to the Table. I had the red snapper, fish croquettes, and their amazing fish soup — every bite was bursting with flavor and prepared with true care.

It was so good, I’m even bringing some home with me back to Tampa. That’s how worth it this place is! If you’re anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. The quality, seasoning, and authenticity brought back memories of island cooking.

Also, a heads up: they close at 6:00 PM, not 8:00 PM like Google Maps currently says — don’t miss out by arriving late!

Drove an hour to see this place. Fish market was super expensive. $53 dollars for 2 fish. Totalling 4.25 lbs. Brought it to the food truck to have it fried. They charge around 3-4 dollars per pound to fry. The staffer told me that the wait would be 1 hour to fry my fish because there were 3 orders in front of me and they only had one fryer working. Total disappointment. So you can get any appetizers because those too had to be fried. Place is overpriced and dirty. Flies everywhere and those 2 ladies weren't washing their hands. Waste of...
