Today is 4/16/16 and I have gone in for a total of 3 visits thus far.
First some personal background:
My two main issues started around January of 2015. I'm in my 30s and mysteriously developed type 1 diabetes despite eating no junk food, no meat and a fair amount of veggies. I was eating wheat at that time. My other issue was a general downward spiral of mental health with anxiety/depression. Being told by my MD and his endocrinologist associate that I needed to get used to a life of insulin was enough to make me look elsewhere. I was able to change an A1c of 13 to 5.9 by eating no carb-type food of any kind and doing my best to meditate and think positive. As of today I have not ever taken insulin or any Western Medicine medication to manage blood sugar levels. Despite the general success I was still not well. My wife found Dr. Ostroff almost 2 months ago and I've gone to see her now 3 times.
The center appears to be connected to her home in aina haina (Honolulu) and is a nice place enough place to be. The staff at the front desk are nice and friendly. Dr. Ostroff herself has been slightly less composed with a casual rather than professional demeanor. She seems ever so slightly on edge and ready to fight against "the man" but she will get around to listening to your problems and then have something to say about them. I believe she has a personal battle she is fighting in just being a physician and that passion does come through with varying degrees of precision.
As far as the therapy she uses what seems to be a MORA BIORESONANCE THERAPY machine. A bar (electrode) is held in one hand and points are touched with a probe on the other to test what I assume is electrical conductivity. After base readings are taken at several points on the hand supplements can be placed on a terminal to test their effect to the circuit. This seems to be the heart of the treatment process. The initial visit was $369.00 + oral supplements of $59.92

As far as effectiveness of the treatments, I remember feeling much better during the week following our first visit. That was short lived as I felt terrible shortly after. My mood was on it's way up when I went in for the latest visit and at this point I'm not sure how much credit or blame she deserves. Anxiety is a fickle habit and my life taking care of my own elderly patients at work and a 2 year old at home provide enough triggers to make significant differences. It's possible that the treatments are working but I'm just worried that we are exhausting or meager savings to pay for them. I do realize that things in the body take time to change. At our first visit she told me it would take 11 months to heal. I'm not sure where that number came from but seeing as I'm there to try her methods I'll do my best to go along with it. The sugar levels haven't seen any significant variation as of yet. The true test for that will be eating something like brown rice regularly for a month and having an A1c under 6. Being able to eat foods like brown rice again would be emotionally gratifying in itself and provide for a much needed source of cheaper calories. Enough said.
