Dollar General — Local services in Hooker

Was ok A Bit Crowded and Hard manuvering around the front of the store as well as a few rows there was way to much stuffon Shelves couldn't hardly see all merchandise. Also the middleageddwoman cashi either needs a refresher course on Customer Service and have a long lecture from a parent about the use of manners and not talking to a customer while your chomping and chewing on bubblegum It's not only extremely rude, its very annoying to hear, Listen to as well as trying your damnedest to understand what the heck she was even saying it's actually quite disgusting when you're confronted by someone this situation. Because she actually spit her syliva out of her mouth on more than one occassion in the very short span of time I was in front of this nasty woman. Her spit landed on my skin a multitude of times which I was having to hold back myself...

This Dollar General is like all the other ones, except the staff..

They have the most awesome staff at any Dollar General I have shopped at.

Often the pull out coupons I didn't even know were available and apply them to my purchase to help me save more money.

That helps keep my business.

The employees there are kind and helpful, knowing where everything is. They cheerfully help people with disabilities without looking like they are put off by it.

Their eagerness to be kind and helpful, instead of standing around all day for minimum wage, counting the minutes til closing, that's why I am reviewing this store and how it is different from many.

Good employees often make the difference between a regular store and a truly great one.

I went in to get a gallon of milk stepped up to the counter to pay, a lady was standing behind the counter just looking at me, she then asked me if I had rung the bell for service. I told her I didn't thi k I had to ring the bell since she was standing right there behind the counter, she said she didn't have a drawer so someone else would have to check me out. I was dumbfounded at how lazy this woman was, she was so lazy that she would not check me out. Dollar General please quit hiring useless employees who are just there to draw a paycheck and offer no customer service whatsoever. In my opinion that is what is wrong with this world.......too many useless lumps and not enough...
