Easy pull in to gas pumps with a Uhaul! The NH a state liquor store along with Common Man Restaurant nook and other eateries are great places to pick up things you might need and be back in the road in 20 min. The common man pizza was surprisingly! Thin crust and tasty!! The liquor store had a whole range of liquors and wines. Even collectable selection l. The bathrooms were large and clean. Easier access from front doors if you need accessibility. Be sure to thank the attendant if they are cleaning because we certainly are. I usually tip a dollar! Well worth having clean facilities.

Note: when leaving gas pumps in low vehicles Please watch for the stop sign that is so high up it’s hard to see if you are watching for pedestrians- they actually need two on this post one low for cars and one high for larger taller vehicles.

I also needed air in a tire - no air pump that I could find - pretty important for a highway stop however if you need air - exit before toll booths northbound and see if Pilot truck stop has pumps. Or call ahead.

The best rest stops in NH for their size and convenience are Hooksett rests both north side...

There is plenty of car parking as usual. There are fewer than 30 truck parking spots between both north and southbound sides. The whole east coast, mainly the new England area, treats their truck drivers like absolute garbage. It's a shame I've driven around for almost 2 hrs to find a place to park and just can't find one. I was asked to move where I was parked on an exit ramp because every rest area was packed, and there are very few truck stops in the area. Most of the smaller truck stops charge us for parking. I have to pay that cost out of my pocket. Everything is going up except truck drivers pay. The sacrifices we make so everyone can have just about everything. It's a shame the way we're treated. People have no idea what we go through on a daily basis to do this job and to do it safely. The rules keep making it harder for us, yet it's the cars causing over 85% of the accidents involving commercial vehicles. This is directly from the FMCSA. Thank you, NH, for providing so much parking, food, and facilities for the truck drivers that serve your beautiful state. I'd give them both a...

Everything is way over priced. The managers don't care about customers as I had an issue with the lottery machine at 8:30 pm one night. I was the only customer in the store at the time and I let them know that my ticket was stuck in the machine. The associate said he would let his manager know. After several min I saw the associate talking with the manager. I walked over and asked the associate what was going on. He said what do you mean. I again told him I needed my ticket out of the machine. I followed him to the manager as he told the manager. The manager had an attitude. He then said he couldn't open up the machine because he was busy making food. Making food for who. I was the only one there. It would have taken him two min to open the machine. I had to have my son stick his hand up in the machine to pull my lottery ticket out. It was like they wanted me to leave my 5 dollar lottery ticket for them....

I visited the North side recently. Mel's is being renovated. The General Store, Liquor Store and Common Man are still open. I noticed a roadside restaurant truck that sold one particular type of food, but, I can't remember what it is. Looks clean inside. Busy. Irving fuel prices, even with Irving Debit Pay, are very high. Update: Saturday afternoon, October 2021; Ate ar the Common Man. Food tasted good, but, expensive. Tables regularly cleaned. Nice place. NH League of Craftsman store was interesting, but, expensive. Nice waterfall display in corner. A small cafe inside that sells coffee ☕ , hot chocolate 🍫 and pastries available. Outside, a small cabin that sells coffee ☕, doughnuts and 🍦 ice-cream.

By far, the nicest rest stop I have ever seen in my life! I was desperate for food and a rest on our drive from Boston to Windsor, VT, so I turned to my mom and said, I don't care... we're stopping here. We totally expected your run-of-the-mill truck stop. That SO wasn't the case. There was a beautiful building with clean, nice restrooms, a '50s style diner, a deli, a mini-mart, and ABC store, an information center, an ATM, and even a gift shop! There was a gas station attached too. The food was delicious and the workers there were so nice, even late at night! Cannot believe that I'd ever want to return to a rest stop!
