Lake Burden Shops — Local services in Horizon West

This was written for Westside Shoppes back in 2018: This new shopping center is still in the process of opening - many shops remain in the final stages of construction (apparently due to issues with failing building inspections). That being said, for now I have to rate this center 2 stars simply due to the hideously awkward fish in the parking lot near Wendy's. What were the architect's and developers thinking here?

What to say about Lake Burden Shops?

This little strip mall has a few important businesses that can certainly serve their purpose without the need to go to a bigger one down the street. It can be crowded when all parking is taken that has not happened to me. The Walgreens is the biggest store but there is also a Subway and Papa John's. Additionaly, there is a veterinarian and a couple other stores.

I haven't paid much attention to all the businesses that are part of the Lake Burden strip mall, but I do go to the Papa John's and Walgreens quite often. Walgreens is handy with being open when other stores aren't, and the Papa John's makes the best Pizza of any Papa John's restaurant I've ever been to. I'll look around more the next time I'm there and give a better report...
