Temple Theatre — Local services in Houlton

Nice little theater in downtown Houlton. I have visited many tikes over the years and have always had a great time. One of my favorite things about this theater is that it also has a balcony in which you can sit and enjoy the movie as well as in the main floor seating. My only wish for this theater is that someday they'll be able to upgrade their chairs. While not wildly uncomfortable by any means, they definitely could use an upgrade, especially when you comepare to theaters down in the Bangor area. Someday I know they'll get it. It was my first time watching a movie at this theater, which really brings to life Houlton’s downtown. We saw The Accountant 2 (equally as good as the prequel). This isn’t a high tech place. No fancy, heated recliners. Not a massive place with 20 theaters or a wild concession menu, no video games or digital ticket kiosks, but that’s the beauty of it. They’ve maintained a small town, vintage feel that is welcoming and easy on the wallet. You can grab pizza and wings across the street at Market Pizza and walk in here to eat while watching a movie. My husband and I love to come here and see a movie! There are great decorations, lots of nostalgic movie decorations to enjoy, and other really great decorum. It's a smaller cinema but still a good size. The seats are comfortable enough, and the picture always looks great. The place is clean.
