The Vault in Houlton truly offers a fine dining experience that is second to none. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that attention to detail is a priority here. Our reservation was promptly honored, and we were greeted with a beautifully set table, complete with an elegant touch—a fresh rose adding to the ambiance. We began with the spinach bacon artichoke dip, a perfect start that was both rich and savory. The combination of flavors was expertly balanced, and the dip was served piping hot, accompanied by crispy tortilla chips. The light crunch of the chips paired beautifully with the creamy, flavorful dip, making it an appetizer that set the tone for the culinary indulgence to come. For our main course, we chose the chicken pad Thai and the pear-ginger glazed salmon. The pad Thai was an exceptional blend of authentic flavors—tender chicken, perfectly cooked noodles, and a subtle hint of spice. It was evident that care was taken to craft each element of this dish. The salmon was a true highlight of the evening, cooked to perfection with a delicate glaze that brought out the natural sweetness of the fish. The pear and ginger combination added a refreshing and gourmet twist, making every bite memorable. What truly elevates The Vault is the commitment to supporting local producers. Their extensive selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, featuring local options, is something we greatly appreciated. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant so invested in celebrating the flavors of the region. The prices, considering the quality of food, the ambiance, and the attentive service, were entirely reasonable. Dining at The Vault felt like a true gourmet experience without the steep price tag often associated with such high-caliber meals. We will certainly be back to enjoy another unforgettable evening.

Really nice dining experience at The Vault. Nice ambience they have going on there. Started with the spinach bacon artichoke dip and carnitas street tacos. Both really solid appetizers. I ordered the dry aged ribeye for an entrée with some fries and salad with honey lime viniagrette dressing. I ate the entire 14oz steak. Was cooked perfectly, unbelievably tender. Well worth the price. Finished with some churros for dessert, and my fiance got the salted caramel cheese cake. I'd put money that this is the best dining experience in the area by a long shot. Will make a point to come back any time I'm in the area!

So delicious!!! Steak was the best we have had. Pad Thai had lots of chicken, egg, peanuts, and the right amount of cilantro and green onion. Crab cakes were crispy and yummy. Bissel brothers substance ipa was great with the steak! Great date night spot. We ate, literally, in the vault, so it was nice and private!

How do you forget someone's order? It's reservation only and you still can't handle 15 people, in 1 party, with 5 servers. With all the hype I figured it would be better than McDonald's service. The dissatisfaction is real. (Edit/addition - I waited an hour and a half to find out my order was never even put in. Everyone in our party all had eaten their appetizers and had started getting entrees before I realized my order was never put in. When I asked to just go ahead and cancel my re-order and leave I was given a snobby look and asked "really?" And was asked if all I was paying for was my 1 ginger ale that was never refilled. My entire experience was highly insulting and for someone about to fork over 60+ for my meal I did not expect to be this...
