I purchased my truck on June 2nd with Dillon Morales, who was the only helpful and dedicated employee I encountered at this dealership. Unfortunately, my experience with the rest of the staff has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Two weeks before my temporary tags were set to expire on August 1st, I called to ask about the status of my plates. The young lady who answered was dismissive and rudeâsomething I had already witnessed on the day I bought the truck. She was sitting at her desk texting, clearly uninterested in helping customers. After that call, I didnât bother trying again and instead reached out to Dillon, who informed me that the title clerk had been out of the office. As the expiration date approached with no update I reached out to the manager, Esteban. First excuse, that they couldnât reach the title clerk; then, that the paperwork had been submitted in June and he didnât know why there was a delay. I was aware that new temporary plate laws had gone into effect on July 1st, so I tried to be proactive. I offered to go to the courthouse myself to obtain a temporary permitâall I needed was the dealer's copy, which they refused to provide. Meanwhile, I waited for the plates. To make matters worse, my husband was stopped by a Tennessee state trooper and given a warning for the tags. He had to cut a work trip short and come home until we received the actual platesâimpacting our business. On the day our temp tags expired, my husband contacted Dillon (who was out of office), and Dillon kindly passed along his number to Esteban. Despite calling Esteban six times and sending an email, we received no response. I had enough and decided to go in person that same day. When I arrived and blindsided Esteban, he acted confused and had the audacity to ask me, âPlates?ââas if we hadn't been calling each other back and forth for 2 days. (ignoring our calls). The place was dead with only 3 customers inside the building including me. Ultimately, I learned the paperwork submitted to the DMV was incorrect and only resubmitted on July 26th. The plates were technically ready but couldnât be released because the registration sticker wasnât processed. That didnât make sense, since plates and registration normally come together. Esteban wouldnât even face me directlyâhe sent someone else (Nick- finance manager) to hand me the dealerâs copy, something I had been requesting for days and could have easily been emailed. Haha Nick said "Esteban told me to hand you this." Pathetic for a Manager. All I wanted was transparency and a piece of paper so that I could continue driving the truck LEGALLY with temp. plates. Could careless about the actual plates arriving up to this point. I came to this dealership because of their positive reviews, but my experience was the complete opposite. (which they were bombarding me to complete and now I am glad I never did until now) Dillon did his best, and I appreciate his effortsâbut overall, the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism has been incredibly disappointing. I will continue to buy Ram trucks because theyâre essential to my businessâbut I will never return to...
Read moreSharing my experience: Bought a brand new 2023 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack from Gillman in October 2024. Went in and great service from Brandon and Dillon. Car worked fine and I love it. March 2025, 5 months after I bought it, I take it in to Gillman service center for its first oil change and tire rotation. All was well with the appointment and no concerns brought up. May 2025 Iâm driving around and I get a low tire pressure in my back passenger. I pull over and look and my tire is shaved down from the middle of the back tire to the inside. Wire sticking out and a huge hole. I then go and check my other back tire and same thing the back tire is shaved down from the middle of the tire to the interior. I call dodge warranty and they say Iâm covered to get it towed to a dodge place. I take it first to Yaklin Dodge in Angleton as thatâs where it got a flat, and they tell me I have 4 worn down tires and need an alignment. I tell them about the warranty I have plus the extra I purchased from Gillman and they told me I had to talk to Gillman. I drive to Gillman and talk to the Finance Manager, Dan I believe, and he hears my concerns and tells me to tow it from Angleton to South Houston on my dime so that his team can look at it and help me out. So i tow it for $400 and when it gets to Gillman they text me that I need two tires on the back. I then call and talk to Steve in service and tell him how do I only need 2 when I have 4 worn tires and to go ahead and change them they should be under warranty. I get no reply. The next day I get another quote for 4 tires and an alignment. I was told it would not fall under warranty due to wear because it appears to be âaggressive drivingâ. It caught me off guard because this is a garage kept car that gets babied. I ask to speak to the service center Director Peter. I go in and talk to him and he again accuses me of driving aggressive and even ask if I took it to a track. They tried to explain some technical stuff and proceeded to say with his 30 years of experience there nothing he can do I gotta buy 4 tires and get and alignment. I asked them why I had no problems with the car before the car was serviced by his team and he had no answer. I asked if he could see if they had notes from my tire rotation that notated any wear and he said there were non noted. I asked if anything happened when they had my car doing the oil change and tire rotation and he said they didnât mess it up. So I had to agree and they ordered the tires. After the tires are ordered and put on and alignment is done I get a call saying they need to change the toe joint out now bc it is bent. I ask what could have caused that they said maybe a pothole. đđ all in all I ended up paying $1700 on a car Iâve had 6 months that had 6,000 miles on it or less. I bought extra warranties and did what was asked and in the end, Gillman chose not to honor their warranty. I am glad to have my car back and will be using discount tire and take 5 oil change for my...
Read moreFirst and foremost I worked for Gillman Pontiac GMC back in the 80s and still remember Mr. Frank Gillman and at that time customer service started to became imperative to a Dealers success and this was instilled in all of us as employees..fast forward to last week. I placed a call to Alvin in the service dept. On behalf of my daughters vehicle which has been in the shop since May for various reasons to include a recall issue. Why did I call? Well not only is she my daughter I am also business partner in Junk Goals and this truck has been down so we lose on avg of $1000 per week so in other words we have lost approx 55k in business while it has been down. The dealership has replaced parts to include the engine so props to the Dealership for this ..however here is where the props end. The vehicle has been released "ready to go" several times during the past months and EveryTime it has stranded my daughter to include on the Freeway! The last time was about a week ago ..Gillman Dodge "repaired" it and my daughter called me one evening around 8pm and said that the truck died in the MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY in our city! She was scared and her family was in the vehicle as well. By the Grace of God she was not hit and eventually towed to the dealership again. Now they are being told to come out of pocket for another part and that part may not fix the problem but should. Why would Gillman Dodge release a vehicle several times only to break down the same day and put my Daughter in Danger!..currently the vehicle sits at the dealership and Gillman is not wanting to help anymore and infact Alvin told me it was none of my business even though that is my daughter in Danger on the freeway and I am a business partner..how can this not be my business? I reached out 4 different times to Dana the GM and he has failed to return my call..as a Business Man myself returning calls is vital, communication is vital. At one point Alvin made an emotional speech about how much money the dealership and Mopar have spent on this truck and yes we understand it's and older truck..however the biggest take away WHY was the vehicle released several times as repaired and each time it stranded my Daughter and family and put them in Danger ..What is more important a dollar amount or the lives of our love ones. If age of the truck is the issue let the customer know it's repaired but could break down as soon as you take it off lot..that's not what Gillman did. Gillman should makes this right .
Now I understand why they only have a 4.1...
