Grocer's Pride Supermarket — Local services in Houston

I'm certain most people wouldn't bother to review a grocery store, right? Well, I think this place deserves a kudo or two. It's tucked away in a little town in North MS named Houston. We moved to the area six years ago and were despondent over the lack of good grocery stores. We discovered it on a trip to a pharmacy there. I was delighted to find it. While it's not on par with the Kroger's, Publix and Piggly Wiggly's of the world, it holds it's own as a grocery store for the local community. If I were to rate it as such I wouldn't hesitate to give it 5 stars. However, I gave it 4 stars simply because I believe it would be to its great benefit to incorporate the items today's consumers are seeking. Items such as organic fruit and veggies, organically grown chicken and beef, organic milk, yogurt and cheese, and gluten free bread and crackers, and Salmon that is not farm raised. More and more discerning grocery shoppers are turning to these items and will drive further or order online to get it. I am a firm believer in spending one's money locally so as to benefit the local economy. I hope Grocer's Pride will invest their money, time and effort to expand to incorporate organic...

I placed an order with Grocers Pride to do me a meat tray for a family who lost their mom, I was very disappointed ..They didn't put any quality time in fixing the meat tray, they threw it up ....cheese wasn't even cut even....broke off like a rat had eaten of it...Meat on the tray wasn't roll professionally just put on the tray, half roll... wasn't even line up even on the tray.... they just threw up my tray... I will never.... repeat... never allow Grocers Pride in Houston Mississippi fix another meat tray...

The best grocery store in Houston, ms. The store is clean and well stocked for the most part. They don't carry alot of things I use to cook with, so that's aggravating. Leaves me driving out of Houston to do the bulk of my shopping. Alot of their groceries are way over priced as well. Not sure what that's about. They have all female cashiers. Weird, but not my store. When you're done checking out they have employees who carry your groceries out to your car for you. Over all its a good grocery store for this...
