My (now) husband and I hired Limelight for our wedding on September 6, 2019. From the minute we hired them to the last dance of our wedding night, we were beyond pleased. Chris Marino was professional, attentive and incredibly flexible! About 8 months after we booked a venue (and had had an initial meeting with Chris to go over a number of details), we ended up booking a completely different venue. We went from big ballroom wedding of 150 people to an intimate tented event with about 60 people. Chris didn't falter and had no issues when our vision totally changed. Not only that, we were sending him details about the venue until less than 24 hours beforehand, as the house was an AirB&B rental and we on premises until the day before the wedding. We communicated in terms of power supply and location of his setup and he made last minute adjustments without a question. The day of the wedding took our experience from great to absolutely amazing, literally the thing that made the whole wedding go from fun to the best night of our lives (save for when our son was born 8 weeks prior, of course). The music was PERFECT. Chris and I had discussed the overall theme of what type of music we wanted for both cocktail hour and the main reception hours, we supplied him a list of 30 songs we wanted and he built the most incredible playlist from there. I reiterate, IT.WAS.PERFECT. From Frank Sinatra to Bruce Springsteen to Michael Jackson to Rod Stewart, we had the classic wedding songs that we, and apparently everyone at the wedding, love. The universal compliment from EVERY GUEST (seriously, EVERYONE), was how amazing the music was. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Not only that, we were very untraditional with the reception. No grand entrance (just introductions), Father/Daughter, Mother/Son dances at the same time, and the best part - the introduction of our 8 week old son in the middle of our dance to have my best friend bring him out to dance with my husband and I. We had a couple of speeches, a cake cutting, and other than that, it was all music. Every special request we had was played almost immediately and one of the best parts was how "background" Chris was. Personally, we hate when an MC takes over the microphone and talks to much - it brings too much attention off of the dancing and the music. Instead, Chris and his assistant just let the music speak for itself and do the job of getting everyone on the dance floor. We are beyond thrilled with every minute and we know that if we ever have another DJ'd event, Limelight and Chris are our first call. Limelight Photography is the very first vendor we booked for our wedding and we could not be happier with our choice so far! I had been following Limelight on social media for quite some time, so the second my fiance proposed I already knew I was going to reach out to them immediately. Jackie is always extremely responsive in her emails and continues to send us wedding reminders, tips, and tricks along the way. She has been so organized in helping to plan the timeline for our wedding day, which has helped take a lot of stress off of me in the process! We worked with Jess and Correy for our engagement shoot back in September in Spring Lake and could not be happier with how our photos turned out. We do not consider ourselves super photogenic and were nervous about being awkward during the shoot, but Jess and Correy made us feel so comfortable and have so much fun. Our photos are truly breathtaking and we are still getting compliments from friends and family about them! We can't wait to have them capture our wedding day next September!

POST-WEDDING UPDATE: Choosing Limelight Photography was the best choice we made for our wedding on 9/23/22! I had been following them on social media for quite some time prior to becoming engaged, and they were the first vendor I reached out to and booked for our wedding. I love how the light and airy quality of their photos does not wash out the true colors of what is being photographed. Jackie was extremely organized and provided us with a timeline that helped us organize and plan for our entire day. She answered all emails promptly and was so helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. Our photographers & assistant were Jess, Correy, and Shelby for our big day. We previously worked with Jess and Correy for our engagement photos which came out absolutely breathtaking in every way, so we were excited to see them again on our wedding day. They were all extremely punctual, helpful, and truly felt like they were our friends for the day as opposed to our photographers. They fit in seamlessly with our crew and were so fun to be around. The weather on our wedding wasn't the greatest, it was chilly and extremely windy, and they did everything they could to help me stay positive and assure me that we would get the photos I dreamed of no matter what. We already received some sneak peak photos back and are so happy with them, we cannot wait to receive all of them in a few weeks! I would choose Limelight 100x over again and I am looking forward to using them for future...

If you want to ensure that your reception is an amazing and memorable experience for you and your guests, hire limelight entertainment!! Vinny Prestia made sure that our wedding day was wonderful and memorable. My older sister had a terrible experience with her DJ (from a different company) and so it was safe to say that my family went into my wedding with a lot of concern and wanting to be highly involved. Vinny thoughtfully talked us through every possible question and concern and considered everything we said and asked for when he worked to construct our reception experience. He made himself available and was very patient listening to all the concerns that had been built from our past experience. He was attentive and kind. When we requested specific songs (and not necessarily well known ones) he would call us and play it back to us to be sure he had exactly the right version. When I wanted to switch up the traditional script for a reception, he supported me while also suggesting changes that he knew would benefit us based on his experience at other events. I told Vinny that we wanted a reception with good flow, great music, and lots of dancing - I could not imagine a better success! He made sure that the event flowed perfectly and I am not kidding when I say that 90 percent of my guests never left the dance floor. The other 10 percent only left to grab a quick drink and came right back. Maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration, but it truly doesn't feel like one. Two months later and my guests are still talking about how fun our wedding was, and every time the subject comes up the common comment is, "the DJ was so amazing." I know I am biased as the Bride, but I truly believe my wedding was the best I have ever been to.. and I may be ruined for any other wedding dance floor because Vinny made mine so fun. My feet hurt for days (and I wore sneakers) because of all the dancing which is just what I wanted! At the end of the evening, after the last song played and everyone started to pack up, my husband looked at me and said, "I don't want it to be over." I would recommend Limelight Entertainment and Vinny Prestia to anyone who wants to hire a DJ and have the best experience possible.
