The recent firing of employee BRIAN is another bad move of many in the past year.He was the hardest worker they have had in months.Every time I went there he was hustling stock at a impressive rate, and I can honestly say that when he was not working,no employees to include the manager were working on the massive amount of unshelved stock blocking isle. Because he was the only one who seemed to care , after a hard day it was obvious how tired he was,and after mopping the entire store, another employee who I will reveal upon you asking me,had been pulling the old yellow price stickers off shelves and just throwing them on the floor and because he finally had to say something for the BLATENT laziness of the employee who had no regard for the mopped floor and caused Brian have to do double work even though he was finished with his responsibilities .And all he said was I'm getting tired of having to keep picking up after others here and now I have to pick up after you? (Who btw is in mgmmt program) And Brian was FIRED the next day! Now the cages of stock off the trucks are blocking isles and I am in that store every day,and it has been a few days since the blunder of terminating the hardest worker they have ever had,the store looks like crap, employees are just standing around even though stock is every where. This has now made me feel I don't want to shop there anymore because of the feeling of disappointment watching people stand around,as opposed to being confident and secure about making purchases becsuse of how hard Brian was working, and that was every time that man worked and always asked if I needed help finding anything even though he was extremely busy himself. No other employees have been so dedicated. The store has changed quite a bit in the last year for the better, but not really,,the prices after the remodel have become a bit extreme and feels like they are having the patrons pay for it. Although it is the only place here besides the circle k which really gauges customers, you would think they are already banking, but now I only use them when it's absolutely necessary. Especially after the firing of Brian, Having a degree in Business management, the mistakes are absolutely ridiculous. They lost a great employee and now they are losing my money and I average spending 90$ a week there, not anymore.Prices on their app seem to never match store prices, but using the app,a long with digital coupons ( when they work)and weekly specials is the best way to go. For example 3- 12 packs of Coke would run about 26.00 after tax but weekly specials and a digital coupon drops it to between 13 to...
Read moreThis dollar general is a mess. The isles have items all over the shelves that are supposed to be on hooks. Naturally when I couldn't find what I needed I asked for help which offended the first employee I found sitting on the floor putting aussie conditioner bottles away. She told me "Logan at the register is the one to ask for help with that" because she couldn't be bothered my bad. There was no one at the register so her and another employee roaming the store began to call out loudly for "logan" who then returned to the register and began checking out the line of people in front of me. Which I get but standing in line to ask a question while two fully capable employees on the floor refuse a simple question from a customer is just atrocious behavior and the opposite of customer service. The employees at this location are always different likely because they're being brought in from other stores to tame the mess and if all the employees can handle here is stocking then they should close this location. When sears went under it was EXACTLY like this. The DG up the road is clean and has friendly consistent employees who provide wonder customer service so I don't get what the problem is here aside from bad attitudes and high...
Read moreHonestly I didn't even want to give it a full star. I have been going into the dollar general in huachuca city for 10+ years and never imaged there would come a time where I would never want to come back. Every time I come into this store it's a mess. A nasty dirty mess you can't even get down the aisles. They never have anything out for customers to buy because it's all getting stocked up in the back room. I can't even begin to count the many times I have hit my toe on the uboats trying to squeeze myself by just to try to get what I need. When you go in most the time no workers are to be found because they are all in the back office laughing and talking but yet nothing on the shelves. When you do finally catch someone eye they are rude. They closed down for two days and you would think in that time they would have got some stocking done... NOPE. Never thought I see dollar general go down...
