Mark's Outfitters — Local services in Hughesville

I decided to give Mark's a second chance after the owner reached out regarding my experience. I was greeted promptly when I went in this time and the person helping me was actually helpful. She helped me size my boots and find a pair that were insulated. Much better experience this time around, I will be giving them my business going forward.

I have been getting my boots from Marks for 7 or so years, bought all my socks, Carhartt hoodies and multiple coats and even some cast iron cookware. It was time for a new pair this year so I went back. It was the middle of the day during a weekday and I had the store all to myself. I heard the bell in back go off when I walked in, I waited 15 minutes before anyone came out to help me. The woman who was "helping" me seemed put off that I had questions about finding an insulated pair of boots and frankly was just rude. I will take her advice however and go online to find a pair of boots I like, but I'll be damned if I give them any more of my business after the way they treated me.

(OLD. These people know how to fit your boots to your feet, I'll never buy boots anywhere...

In archery season, I requested new boots from my tree stand And I was wearing them two nights later. You might’ve seen the Facebook post! These Irish setters are my favorite boot and have worn out at least a half dozen pairs. I put a decent amount of time in them through the remainder of archery season. Unfortunately, my first day of bear rifle season ended with a wet right foot. And the same happened on a rainy day during deer season. So back to Messenger I went to reach out to Mark’s and a quick and professional response was received!!!! The first chance I got to stop in, I was taken care of and out the door in 10 minutes with brand new boots. This is top-notch service! Our area is blessed to have new owners who carry on the great tradition of high-quality service with inventory that is second to none! Merry Christmas and...

Rude staff! Wishing I had gotten her name. Went in there with my 11 month old daughter. We had gotten $500 worth of stuff. So we had used the shopping carts that were outside. The older lady that had helped us lifted the cart out of her way with my child in it, when she could have simply went around us. Makes a remark saying we don’t usually bring these carts in. We brushed it off, no big deal. Then to walk out of the store as we saw she puts road cones where the carts were. Then we, the customers, had to move them to put the cart back. We had gotten two pairs of shoes and 3 things of clothing. Didn’t know we were suppose to carry it all around plus our child. Not to mention we could tell she was miserable as over hearing her conversation with others. This wouldn’t be a big deal if she wasn’t so snobby...
