Dollar General — Local services in Humboldt

They just remodeled the store (5/2018), and it seems to have put a shine on everything, even the employees.

This is in old downtown Humboldt and where I go if I need stuff I typically get at Walmart, but don't want to drive 33 mins into Fort Dodge to get it.

There's usually plenty of parking right out front. You have to get a key to use the restroom, which is not handicap accessible (nor is the store). The post office is right across the street.

They have: snacks, beverages, canned & boxed foods, refrigerated & frozen foods, milk, candy, seasonal items, home & kitchen, cleaning supplies, laundry, over-the-counter meds, hygienic supplies, pet food & supplies, automotive, some tools & paint supplies, hardware, greeting cards, party supplies, office supplies, bathroom linens, curtains, clothing, shoes, baby supplies, home decor & garden, toys, hair care, a small basic sewing rack, socks & underwear, make up, books, electronic device parts,...

Have been in this store multiple times throughout the summer and I have only seen 2 employees who wear masks. Also have heard the employees who don't wear mask say remarks about not wanting to do they will not wear them. Customers are not asked to put masks on and most times I am the only customer wearing a mask while others are roaming...

I bought a Verizon refill card which was defective according to Verizon. After buying three of them and all of them didn't work I was told to bad your just out 40.00. Then I was hung up on, manager is rude and I feel like they just stole the money from me. I won't shop in Humboldt again or dollar...
