Lavalette Food Fair — Local services in Huntington

Went to get 2 cakes for my son's first birthday. I had a specific design in mind. ( it was a pretty easy design) told the staff member that I needed the person who does the cakes to take my order so they knew exactly what it was that I wanted. The manager was "too busy" to take my order. I showed the staff member the image of what I wanted. She said she'd let her know. When I picked it up several days after it was NOT what I wanted at all. Nothing like the image I showed. If it wasn't the day before my son's party I wouldn't have paid for it. I will never be getting cakes from them again. All other staff members are great and so nice. I was in this store around 4:30 today and I saw the sign on the door about wearing mask when you are inside. Well that is a big joke because management is not informing what the Governor said. I asked the young lady who checked me out if they were enforcing this rule and she told me they can’t force them to comply. This is so sad that management would not do what they are supposed to do!!! This is the reasoning that our area has become a hotspot for the virus again. Management can refuse to allow people to come in to their business if they are not respecting the rules and regulations. I will not be going back to that store and it is convenient for me. The owner and management should be ashamed...

Every single time I've bought meat from here it's spoiled overnight. This doesn't happen when I go to other stores so it isn't my refrigerator and I keep refrigerated items in insulated bags because the thought of eating something that's had the chance to get to room temp creeps me out. It's a good place to stop if your in a hurry or need a few things you're going to consume immediately but I wouldn't do my weekly shopping here. They're not competitive at all with pricing and you will absolutely find what your looking for cheaper almost...
