This hair appointment was a success. My hairstylist was super professional and accommodating. When I didn't book the correct service she squeezed me in a few extra minutes to add the service I needed. I havent been to a salon in years so my curly locs definitely needed some TLC. I can see why my stylist is called the hair doctor she gave me a thorough wash and treatment. I have never felt my hair so soft in its curly state. After my wash she blow dried and trimmed my hair. She informed me that the color I previously used on my hair was causing my excessive tangles so once it grows out and gets trimmed my hair should be more manageable. It looks like she trimmed about 6 inches give or take. The only thing that I would advise is warning the client how much she is going to trim. I personally didn't care maybe she noticed that idk, but I think another client may want to know how much is being cut off before she actually does it. I say that to save the headache for everyone. After the cut she straightened it super quickly but it didnt lack style. Bone straight how i wanted it and beautiful. Overall my experience was great and I'll def be back again along with my daughter who now wants her hair straightened. Side note: I saw a woman walk out of there with GORGEOUS long locs so it's likely she does loc maintenence as well idk def worth...

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to share the amazing experience I had at The Hair Doctor. This was my second visit, and each appointment left me more impressed than the last.

During my first appointment, I had a consultation and trim with Lashonda, the CEO. She was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She recommended using aloe vera to soothe my scalp—and after trying it at home, it is now a part of my hair routine. My second appointment began with Keyosha, who washed and conditioned my hair and applied a protein treatment. She did an outstanding job detangling and cleansing my hair, all while steam was flowing in the wash basin.

Lashonda then took over to prepare my hair for an Aloe Vera Hydration Treatment using real aloe vera gel. After sitting under the steamer, my hair was rinsed and gently stretched with medium heat to prep for my style—a beautiful flat twist updo.

The results? My hair felt incredibly soft, nourished, and healthier than ever. I honestly don’t think my hair has ever felt this good!

I've been going here for about 4 years now. When I first came I had no hair and the front middle was completely gone due to issues in the past.
