Was hoping to play CP for the first time in years. Was in town for a visit. CP looked to be in decent condition from the parking lot. Would never know though because we never got onto the course. The older man in the proshop was so grumpy and unfriendly that we left. With almost a degree of joy, he louldy exclaimed to us it would be hours before he could get us on. Then he proceeded to yell at us when questioning our intent to play 9 or 18. I have played all over the midwest at numerous courses and this man was the worst facility representative of a course I have ever seen in a course proshop. He needs to learn to smile and be courteous, or find a different job. Perhaps he was having a very bad day but his immediate attitude and unprofessionalism was very unwarranted...

Hutchinson is very lucky to have such a nice public course. Facilities are very nice and the pro shop has a great selection (buy something after you play!!). Every staff member including the grounds crew were very cordial and took time to help us enjoy our first visit. Pace of play was good. Course is not too tough, but keep it down the middle. The course is well maintained and in really good shape for late August. There is a zoo, water park and picnic areas all inside carey park. What a great facility for a family outing. ...
