If I could give negative stars I would. Was coming through from Jackson, Wyoming & passing through late at night. My partner needed to use the bathroom so we stopped, figuring we'd use the bathroom & then get gas. Needless to say, we all but sped out of there when we were done. My disabled partner needs assistance due to several health reasons, so we went into the disabled stall. Apparently that was wrong. The old, silver haired cashier took great offense to this, almost paranoid, in fact. Started repeatedly harassing us, demanding we were "in there to long" & "over thirty minutes". We didn't take even 10 to 15 minutes in there, washing hands & using the bathroom in total. My partner does take a little longer than the average due to -- you guessed it, medical reasons, but we never misuse the facility & try to get in & out as fast as possible. We did need to pause to clean the toilet because it was filthy, so that added a little bit of time. Easily the worst experience I've ever had on a long road trip....
Read moreI stopped into KJ's Travel Center on my way to Rexburg today. I picked up two pieces of Jerky and they were all dried out. It seems as though they haven't restocked them in a long time. The worst part? As we were headed up to Rexburg, I kept thinking to myself, "I sure wish that beef jerky wasn't dried out. What a waste."
When we got to Rexburg and sat down with the family to eat, I couldn't get my mind off of the really dry jerky. My post roast and vegetables didn't taste good because all I could taste was dried out jerky.
All the way back to Idaho Falls, visions of jerky danced in my head. Smokey, peppery jerky. All I could think about was getting my hands on a new piece of jerky, but more moist. I didn't want a repeat of my trip to KJ's to get any. Because if I did, I knew I'd just disappoint myself.
It turns out that the only place in Idaho Falls to purchase good, moist jerky is at the Maverick just west of town, near Reed's Dairy. That's the best place...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Filled up with $200 of gas and went inside to buy some snacks for my trip and the cashier was super friendly and talked forever with the previous customer, which I thought was great. Figured they were just a small town place and friendly. Then I got up there and said, “Hi, how’s it going?” No response. Then she started muttering and cussing under her breath the entire time I was paying. I was kind of shocked because I hadn’t done anything to her. She handed me my receipt in the air without looking at me at all and I took it and said, “Thank you.” She didn’t even acknowledge me at all. Weirdest experience I’ve had with a cashier. I’m willing to give people the benefit of the doubt but this doesn’t make me want...
