Ordered an album on Dec 11th, due Dec 19th-22nd via Amazon. Paid roughly $20 more than its going for elsewhere but everywhere was out of stock. I received an automated message from Amazon stating that Movie Mars had not given them shipping info yet and that I could cancel the order if I wanted. I needed this for a Christmas gift. So I had to message them. It took them a few days to get back to me with the generic response of "It is processing. We have no shipment date. But we can cancel if you'd like". I have messaged back and forth with the same answer. But apparently their one and only album was broken and instead of letting me know as soon as they saw this, they stayed silent while my shipment window for arriving before Christmas got smaller and smaller. So basically they sold an item they didn't even have available and never reached out to me. I had to reach out to them. Because they dropped the ball, I was forced to pay 3x the amount for this album on Ebay and PRAY it arrives before the 25th, which it looks like it won't because they drew this out so long. Terrible customer service with their generic, repetitive responses. Shouldn't be allowed to sell on Amazon. I won't ever purchase...
Read moreDespite some of my initial concerns (mostly based on other people's negative reviews -- I even contacted their customer service BEFORE I ordered just to try alleviating my primary angst, to which they immediately responded...), I received my order yesterday and it was perfect! Shipping time may not be as fast as it is for some vendors, but that is absolutely okay in my book. The quality of my vinyl album and security of the packaging more than make up for having to wait a little longer. I think that we, as consumers, have grown far too accustomed to receiving online orders unrealistically fast. Movie Mars has an incredible selection and, for most items, the best prices out there. What's not to love? Still, I'm always a little skeptical when an overwhelming majority of the reviews I read on a vendor are negative. It almost seems personal at that point. To be fair, some customers probably have had legitimately negative experiences (like with every business and company in the known universe), but either Movie Mars has resolved their issues, or I just got extremely lucky. Either way, I will most definitely order from them again. Thanks for being...
Read moreI purchased a vinyl record from MovieMars on Walmart.com as they had the best price. It said it would take a whopping 15 days to arrive, but I was okay with that. 15 days later, the order still sat on "preparing to ship..." with no information. They took a day to respond to my inquiry and said they were cancelling. Except they didn't cancel the order. They claim they had an issue at the warehouse and more were coming in and to reorder in 2 weeks. I can wait 2 weeks for it to ship, but when I offered this, they fell silent. The website says they had 3 more in stock.
So while I am waiting for Walmart to issue my refund because MovieMars is not, I decided to try to find this item elsewhere. Would you believe it... they have the same item, stock of 3 on eBay! It is clear they are selling their items on multiple platforms and when they actually sell them out, lazily offer refunds when a customer complains, judging by other comments. They lied to me and many others, and I will make sure they get none of my business...
